Lowest Price Budget Break Barrel From Local Box Store. The Crosman Fire/F4. How Bad Is it? Part 2

Published 2024-04-11
This is part 2. After testing it out of the box. I did end up changing the scope because my crosshairs were rotating inside. For part 2 I tried the bearing mod which shorted 2nd stage to about a 1/2 travel till it would fire. I then installed the aftermarket GTR3 trigger from one of my other guns to really test the accuracy.
In Part 1 I wanted to see what first time springer shooters might experience when buying one of the lowest price air rifles and pellets from their local store. How would it shoot right out of the box? Will it shoot as good as guns costing 2-3 times the price or is it junk?

I like how the boy loads his pellets with his right hand. A lot of not only youtubers do that with their left hand whilst they still shoot with their right hand. So when they handle a pcp pistol, such as the HW40, they needlessly make things more fidgety for themselves.

Some budget airguns will surprise you after you spend a little time with them. I have a almost all plastic Hastan Airtact .22 that impresses the heck out of me. But I guess with budget airguns, it’s a gamble. Because I have others that are disappointing.

Pretty sure that the FX pellets are the same as the Air Arms Diablo Field
