I was on the fence about the stock color but I just looked it up online and seen the cost. Send that sucker back. You paid for perfect because that is what they advertise and price for. I like the scope though. Can't wait to hear how it treats you.

Personally I absolutely love that stock. Yes it's not what you might call regular but that's what makes it jump out to me, I think it looks stunning and would absolutely pick that over any standard boring walnut stock that every rifle seems to come with these day. 👍😍
  • Hi Charles as others have said send it back. Never seen anything like that on a Pro Sport in regards to those gouges. The Pro Sport and indeed the TX200's are top end springers which you pay top dollar for, anything less than perfect send back. 👍👍👍

It looks like they used water damaged timber to make the stock, it looks grey. And the burr damage to the tube is unforgivably bad. AA are usually a lot better than that but I guess everyone makes a "Friday afternoon special" every once in a while.

Those scratches are unacceptable, send it back. That's the kind of stuff that usually happens to me. I hope your new scope is a keeper. Im trying to decide on a new scope for my HW97.

Mine was very pellet fussy I tried about 7 different types then I tried air arms deabolo field 16grns and the grouping is brilliant I also put about 4 coats of beeswax on mine to fetch the grain out .

Maybe it's just me....I just see and amazing grain on that cheek-piece! ...am I missing something? I have on in beech and a TX200 in walnut .....the walnut is very matt and needs linseed oiling or coating really....but it's a beautiful timber nevertheless.

Hi Charles. You are definitely entitled to a new one. The gun is not fit for purpose. I expect the stock coloration is getting near the sap line. The timber should be completely de-sapped before use on a gun of this price point. When you think of it most cheap guns have pretty good stocks.
  • @AGDavid
Send it back! Don’t settle for what you don’t want. Man I hope your replacement from AD is better. Does PA and AD share warehouses? Those gouges looks bad 😮 I think it took mine some pellets for it to settle down and smooth out. Shooting my Pro Sport is amazing but it gets tiresome after a while. Cocking is stiff but smooth. The cocking level digs into my hands and gets annoying. Hopefully the TX will feel more comfortable. Do you own a TX? If so, how does it compare to the PS?
  • @CaptainKarate
Just get a HW77k mate....love mine, never let me down🥰🥰🥰🥰
  • Don't oil the mechanism as the piston and compression tube run on plastic bearings. You certainly shouldn't be getting gouging on the compression tube.

That gun weighs over 8 pounds, -why would you rest it upside-down on the scope, and then expect accuracy?
  • The stock , its called grain , that stock is beautiful, just my opinion,
  • @Kurt_Steiner
Get yourself a HW 97 KT....got two.... cracking rifles and German engineering 👍
