    It’s good to see people looking to get more than just a single ship game package. SC is more hobby than just another game (I.e.in the Nintendo cartridge sense). When you balance time to earn in game vs real life; it makes more sense to mow a few lawns for cash and buy a medium ship than to grind grind grind to ‘earn everything in game.’ The entrepreneur pack and smuggler pack had decent ship price points to build one’s own pack from

    Would love it if CIG did several packs with a large main ship and allowed you to pick two or three other ships of your choice to support it. Example: Orion, 2 x Prospector, 1 X Terrapin.

  • There is already a first responders pack.. Actually it's even called the first responder's pack.. Has an apollo, cutlass blue, cutlass red, and an avenger stalker (which I CCU'd to a medical C8)

    Taking the idea of a Pack being something you buy with a few ships but then have the opportunity to buy additional ships at a discount, the ultimate form of that would be buying an empty Pack and then adding discounted ships you want entirely "a la carte" up to a threshold spend.

    @30:20 It's pretty obvious cig doesn't put hull limited capital ships inside a pack without filling them up with enough of other ships to not disincentivize the selling of their standalone versions. Them not releasing a complete CNOU pack is the perfect example of this.

    I think I would make a variation on the repair pack called the Replenishment Pack: Vulcan and Starfarer. Focused mainly on refuelling, but you've got a little repair with the Vulcan and supply transport with th e Starfarer mixed in.

    IDK what I'd look for in a pack to be honest as I've had a lot of fun with warbond CCUs. I like the idea you put forward of the "choose your fighter/daily driver"/discount to add to a pack tho.
  • I’m goin with Billionaires pack. It’s amazing how many of his likes mirror mine. The Galaxy and Liberator later may be the 2 perfect ships for a 3-5 man group which is all most of us get together. I have a Kraken but I know that Lib is gonna get way more gameplay. Also I’d like to disagree in one way. The F7A MkII should never be available again. Like the F7A MkI the event to attain it is gone. Forevermore. That’s what makes the F8A, F7A MkI and MkII special. One and done.

    Probably going to exchange the reclaimer and get the company pack. From there I can earn down and around for all the other ships I want. Already have over 400mil in ships I earned up from an Aurora. Now I have reclaimer, ironclad, Corsair, and mursa

    yeah, I also had Algarid's thought. :where is the BMM? If there is going to be a better ship in the game, I don't don't know what it is. the money of Large scale commerce, and unlike the Hull ships, it is not limited to "station to station." additionally, with the size 8 guns, it's in the neighborhood of a Perseus for a war ship. it is in the neighborhood of the 890 jump for luxury. it's in the neighborhood of the Polaris for it's hangar bay. Now it could be that the load/unload time for a BMM is going to be pretty long. but that is why I have several of them.

    a pack huh 🤔 perhaps a pack for supporting a cap ship and crew for starters a starfarer gemini - gonna need fuel and gemini offers extra protection crucible - gotta be able to repair cap and crew reclaimer - both to make credits and to gather rmc to feed repairs banu defender - gotta have a fighter and fan of alien ships or not you gotta admit that a size 2 shield and the extra quantum fuel will go a long way. (i suppose this could be swapped for different fighters) vulcan gotta be able to help repair rearm and refuel your crew srv help tow your crew back into port to repair with your crucible and there ya go a pack for supporting a capital ship and crew.
  • With Al’s pack I would add the. Starfairer and call it the recovery pack. Right at the 1k mark then and you could tow repair refuel all ships big and small. With executes pack I’d drop the endevor and add a large atmospheric capablecargo ship (probably BMM or ironclad) and sell it as the base builder pack. You can build a hospital/store afterall. For ninjas pack… idk it lacked purpose by doing everything and think the idea of splitting it up was great, possibly make it a medium/large professions pack perhaps a “journeyman pack” Personally I melted some things and added a bit of money for the Praetorian pack recently. I saw it as a no brainer with it having the Idris M, LTI 890, LTI pioneer, and the LTI phoenix being easily worth the price of the pack compared to grey market prices for those ships. There is a ton of pointless fluff in that pack as well but I plan to build up some ccu chains to fill out some of the ships that were not included and they can be fun on a random occasion. I don’t plan on upgrading this pack until we are much closer to release so I can see what many of these loops actually look like to try and prevent some mistakes.

    Soo conflicted with Crucible, I want it but, the longer it takes the better it may get. Sure gonna be repair focused. ​​ships to focus on structure vs. components could be neat. Welding ROC.
