The practical issue with the transient jump points is that with 4.0 all of them will lead ultimately to Pyro, regardless of whether in future they're intended to be tributaries off a nearby permanent jump point or independent and lead anywhere...
  • Zeus ES is to push and high light Jump points, anf the new quantum mode, and exploration of course, totally agree about scanning. As its size 3 like the Constellation Aquila. RSI ES and Aquila being the exploration full package. With much larger computers and bigger gas tanks. Plus with the rover and Merlin it allows for some extra scouting to find points of interest to scan and record more data. The ES lets you do this for smaller or cheaper buy in.

I wonder how much of this information will change between now and release? Thanks for providing context and thoughts.

Looks like the Starfarer will come into its own within the outer periphery of the system to refuel the starter ships that fail the jump and don't have the fuel to make it to a station/location !!!! Although, that would necessitate Refuel Beacons and refuelling ports on all the ships !!
  • These mobile routers drain the battery super quick usually, I recommend bringing a spare power bank :)
  • Threading the sneak peak, to me it does look like the landing gear of the Polaris, It looks very familiar to at the time of Invictus when the model was in the show room. Speaking of which, as an owner of a Polaris, I am not to sure what to expect in terms of gameplay other than an org transport ship. I hope it will not end up like the Carrack where the gameplay just doesn't exist and using the ship as an A to B transport vehicle and personal instead. Hopefully the size 10 torps can be used to take down other capital ships ingame and not to become another Hercules A2 but in space combat. I'm sure the gameplay will come around but I am just not convinced it will be serve its intended purpose in the here and now.
  • No way I'm the only one that has noticed the overview, interior, and exterior on the scanning MFD? I haven't heard anyone talk about it, or point it out. Though we do know now that scanning will be changing quite a bit because of how they have been talking about being able to scan different things.

Great show. Good to have Billionaire Ninja on. Definitely need more systems to have transient jump points to have any value other than exploration candy , so I can get my ships finally in game.

Billionaire Ninja, hate to bust your bubble but money is not going to be the primary goal in this game. Reputation will be. Money is going to be an afterthought. This is how I believe it's going to go down, hypothetically, let's say you want to be a bounty Hunter and you build up your reputation as a bounty hunter. This will unlock the ability to purchase ships and equipment. We already know that if you die, you'll lose some reputation. What I believe they'll add is that if you stop bounty hunting for a period of time, they're going to make it to where you'll start losing reputation like a slow drip overtime. You will need to periodically do a bounty hunting mission of some sort to keep the reputation up. This will keep players engaged in the game Long-Term because you want to keep up your reputation stats. That will carry unique benefits to the reputation that you've earned.

You are not going to have to call ATC to enter an unknown jump point. That makes no sense.
