I like the boldness on the simplicity of the title. J U S T Flan, mic drop.

  • I am a chef at an assisted living facility, and I've already made for them your tiramisu and I made the churro's tonight and these folks have been loving the desserts. It's extra special because it gives them something to look forward to, and somehow your instruction is so easy to execute. Thank you.

I’m pretty new to baking and this recipe was amazing. One small thing that did cause me to waste though was the fact that creating the caramel requires you to not use a non stick pan. I didn’t know that , and I tried twice before switching to stainless steel and fixing my mistake. Just a heads up for anyone who was wondering why their caramel was crystallizing before it browned

Hello from Puerto Rico! My grandma makes flan and uses pretty much the same ingredients but adds 1/2 cup of sugar and puts everything in the blender. She's also never used the oven, it's always done in the stove. My grandma loves to watch you cook and we like to sit down, watch your videos and take notes. Thank you for your recipes!

I just made this Flan. Sooooo Uber delicious and I love how easy it was! The cream cheese makes it so luxurious. Omg took me back to my childhood, bc my mama used to make flan all the time. Thanks for such a fantastic and easy recipe!!

Such an easy recipe and it's so good. My go to flan recipe. I'm getting better and better at baking desserts and I've learned most of it from this channel. Even pre-ordered the cookbook as a way of support, even when I could easily just watch the videos. Started out several years ago because I wanted cheesecake and figured I could make it myself. Now, I bake a ton of desserts. Just wanted to thank you for the easy step by step directions as I prepare this recipe for tomorrow's Super Bowl game. Got my go to cheesecake done and now it's the cheese flan followed by the Hawaiian butter mochi cake.

I make the Puerto Rican version that includes coconut milk and its delicious! Love Flan! It's amazing that there are so many countries that have their variation of it. Flan unites us ❤😊
  • Every time I want to make flan I just come back to this video bc the title being "Flan" is SO satisfying, it's like they do on recipe books, none of that adjective-overloaded yt shenanigans. Thanks you for everything John💕

  • I have made this three times for my family. It is so delicious, they can’t get enough! Thank you for another great recipe !
  • I love how he keeps the bloopers, making the video much more relatable.
  • @selina644
I love ALL of your videos and absolutely love that you're always smiling and always seem so down to earth!! You are such inspiration to me as someone who enjoys cooking so much😊😊
  • In Colombia when my family (or myself) make this, we just put all the ingredients at once in a blender and we add a tiny bit of dulce De leche extract and whole milk (equal quantity as the sweet and condensed milk) instead of the cream cheese.
