This is how to summon the Brood Mother in No Man's Sky. The Worlds update added in a ton of awesome things to No Man's Sky including new plants, new animals, new water physics and even a new enemy! The Brood Mother is a new enemy that must be summoned, so let's go find some juicy grubs and summon her!

Brood Mothers have a chance to drop a cosmetic helmet, albeit a very low chance.

To unlock new helmets, remove all of its armor including legs, head, and belly before killing it. I did this all the time and unlocked all the helmets very quickly.

It's good to Jump Systems with your freighter, because you can scan all planets at once with the "Scanner Room" base building module :D

My guess is that the Brood Mothers will provide the chiton we'll use to make the new armor the expedition rewards.

You gotta farm them for the helmets. 4 helmets in total and takes around 15 brood mothers to get them all. A new title with each helmet too.

Grubs. Yeah, that is where they live. Underground! This is a cool 'gamelet'! Oh, the Starborn Runner gurgles now with the water jets! And I LOVE the treatment they gave the water. I thought I was at Galveston on the North Jetty for a minute! There are wavelets lapping the beach plus swells and cross swell systems. Like real life!

You will have a very high chance to find Juicy Grub in abandoned solar systems.

Anyone else on PS5 having the game crash repeatedly? My game crashed maybe 5 or 6 times yesterday. Opening the inventory, leaving a planet, or entering the Star Chart have all crashed the game on me so far.

I really like this feature as a sort of "rite-of-passage" type deal! Maybe it could be used as a challenge for a pirate faction, say you need to fight the Brood Mother alone in a big arena in order to join the band of pirates! It could be great for things like that if you like doing pirate or tribal roleplay or smth

To get a drop from the Brood Mother you have to shoot off all her armour (she had multiple), that's what another YouTuber said.

I must have been REALLY lucky. I got all the helmets after 5 fights. I grabbed 12 grubs and crushed two on one planet and the rest on different planets. Don't crush them on "points of interest" as they won't come out. They are different depending on the planet.
