39 year old married adult male metalhead with two kids and I straight sing along to this shit and always have. OOH BABY OOH OOH
-
When I was a teenager I listened to this song. I was like holy shit this song just kicked my ass. I can’t understand why isn’t this rocking chick in the rock and roll hall of fame as a solo artist.
-
I wouldn't change a single note of this song.

Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Who who who Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh And the days go by Like a strand in the wind In the web that is my own I begin again Said to my friend, baby Nothin' else mattered He was no more than a baby then Well he seemed broken hearted Something within him But the moment that I first laid Eyes on him all alone On the edge of seventeen Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh I went today maybe I will go again Tomorrow And the music there it was hauntingly Familiar And I see you doing What I try to do for me With the words from a poet And the voice from a choir And a melody nothing else mattered Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh The clouds never expect it When it rains But the sea changes colors But the sea Does not change And so with the slow graceful flow Of age I went forth with an age old Desire to please On the edge of seventeen Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Well then suddenly There was no one left standing In the hall yeah yeah In a flood of tears That no one really ever heard fall at all Oh I went searchin' for an answer, Up the stairs and down the hall Not to find an answer Just to hear the call Of a nightbird singing Come away come away Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh Well I hear you in the morning And I hear you At nightfall Sometime to be near you Is to be unable to hear you My love I'm a few years older than you Just like the white winged dove Sings a song Sounds like she's singing Oh baby oh said oh

Time space is one of the best albums. Edge of 17 is a masterpiece.
-
I waited 365 days to play this song just before the year ends
-

Stevie’s voice only this track gives me chills ! Love it 😍

I love Stevie's music, both with Fleetwood and solo. Her ability to haunt you and send chills down your spine has cemented her legendary status. Her voice is unique and versatile and she has a great sense of musicality that is rare in modern mainstream music. She's an artist that immerses herself in her craft that pulls in you in like a siren. This woman deserves even more recognition- im honestly shocked she hasnt recieved more awards. She was truly a trail blazer for other female artists and for that i will always respect her.

When this song came out, I was on the edge of 17. Thank you Esther for the Summer of 82'. I miss you still.

The radio stations of GTA IV was incredible with songs like this
-
This is what one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time sounds like: a pure gut punch.
-
Turning seventeen this year, I'll be playing on repeat on the day before and on my birthday.

This track and video are one of the most profound pieces of pop culture of a generation. Stunningly beautiful.
