Oculus Quest Week in NEWS July 27th 2019 **Supply, Games, Side Loads, California + WAY More**

The Go support hasn't officially launched but the code is already in place. That is what broke sideloaded games with the latest update. There is a single line that devs need to add in their game's manifest file. Currently, sideloaded VR apps that haven't been updated are being run in Go mode instead of Quest mode (which is why only one controller works at a time and the FOV is reduced) because that line is what the system is looking for to determine if it's a Quest or Go game. If it's not there, it thinks it's a Go game. All Go store games are missing that manifest entry (or at least, don't have the settings needed to indicate it's a Quest game), but all Quest store games do have it because it has to be there to make it past the automated part of the submission process for a final build. None of those sideloaded games (that I know of) had that line in their manifest, though they are supposed to, and what happened is why it is supposed to be there... Oculus already knew the Go support was coming in the future. The Quest wasn't looking for that line in the manifest file before the Go code was put in place, but now it is. All developers need to do to fix it is literally ctrl-c, ctrl-v one single line of code into their manifest and everything starts working again.

Thanks again for the video and the Quest news! I like the single video format (as opposed to 2 parts) but I understand the logistics with dealing YouTube and uploading and rendering so if it goes back to two parts that's cool too. I love love love Raccoon Lagoon. I love that it plays similar to Animal Crossing that you just get a general good vibe playing it. I'm really interested the virtual drum set. Very very cool idea. Is it too late to sign for the night lounge?

After 39 days of waiting for a 64gb model I finally gave up. Drove 2 hours just to buy a 128gb model. 🤦‍♂️ but atleast I have one now.👍

The new tracking update is awesome! Everything feels a lot smoother. The two controler thing in the menus is great too. Also, the oculus browser is fixed now! You can lay down and move the browser window above your face...just like you can on oculus go. YAY!!!!

it took me around 6 weeks actually until my oculus quest shipped, I ordered it on June 26 and it's going to reach me august 7th, I can't wait to get my hands on my first ever VR headset

Raccoon lagoon is so fun. One of the best games on the Quest in my opinion. Highly recommend picking it up if you liked stardew valley/animal crossing
