Ana Guide - Tips from a Grandmaster Overwatch 2 Player

Ana main here good vid, not an expert by any means but i also have climbed a lot so i'll add a couple tips that most helped me if anyone wants em: most ana players looking to climb need to place a higher emphasis on damage (from safe positions). Landing a shot on the enemy and outputting pressure will save your team from taking damage more than waiting to heal someone who is not in danger of dying - this is more a mindset shift than anything else, damage is healing. Always be thinking about the enemy comp and who is the biggest threat to kill you, you'll naturally be better with your positioning if you're simply thinking about your biggest threat. Also, NEVER succumb to the urge to touch the objective in desperate situations. 99.8% of the time it is not worth it. If the Ana needs to touch the point it's probably already lost and better to play your life and hope for something else to materialize.

I noticed how great open queue is for practice when i started playing a lot of Bap on it because of the tanks, and then realized on qp that i became good with Bap, then i played him on role queue ranked and it felt very good, now my learning method for every hero is basically: learn the basics on quickplay, practice a lot on open queue, and then im able to play them on role queue ranked. So as an Echo main this is extremely helpful

This video is definitely helpful for me, I’m currently diamond playing some ana, but I’m pretty bad at her kit, I end up playing her like widow since widows my 2nd most played dps. I usually struggle positioning finding a fine line between being able to support my tank and do damage, but also not dying

Hot take I think Moria has more utility then most people think she can kill most back line supports solo and has a self cleanse plus orbs to heal herself teammates or get free heal juice plus on more closed off maps she’s scary

I honestly love ana but I really need to get used to her not having anything other than granny hops when trying to get away lol. cant wait to try out the workshops, hopefully i wont need to pray for granny barelroll anymore xD
