Here's the view from the porch of the severe thunderstorm that rolled though Huntersville, NC on June 28, 2013. This storm had a lot of lightning - many close strikes. It also dumped around 6-8 inches of rain on the area. Many area roads were flooded, some even washed out! This footage is of what I called "Storm A" because three storms trained behind one another.

When I was young I used to be afraid of thunderstorms. My great aunt took that fear away when she told me it was just the angels bowling and whenever one of them got a strike, lightening would strike. Now, as an adult, I always think of my aunt and the angels bowling whenever there’s a thunderstorm.

Laugh, I was watching this w/the volume turned up on my computer speakers and one of our cats who hates storms heard the thunder and...under the bed she went! Great video!

A porch makes the BEST concert hall for thunderstorms!!

I can hear why the thunder-sound could have been better, but still, this is amazing! It's not in true stereo with that "I'm right there with you" sound. Being blind all my life, I use my ears like sighted people use their eyes, so it's understandable. Still, when I was listening from another room, I absolutely loved it, because there's no talking. Now that's a big "like" in my book. You also earned yourself another subscriber! I do hope you will be able to record more storms with true stereo sound, because that would really make any video like this one really sound as good as it looks. Far too many people pay much more attention to the visual aspects of videography, when the audio is just as important, especially to those who rely on their hearing. It's also easier on the ears than what I call the GoPro sound. Thank you so much for posting all these videos in the description, too.

I envy you. You get some great summer storms (and spring). We are lucky to have three good ones in a typical year.

I have a JBL Sound bar 2.1 at home, when I play the relaxation one it made it more natural and I left it paused I went and grabbed the torch and pretend that everything is okay, I took it out, played the relaxation video press play and begin to make a flash on the torch while it was playing at the same time I love it when people talks.
