History of Philosophy is a series of lectures by Dr. Taimur Rehman who also teaches at the LUMS and is a renowned author of the book Class Structures of Pakistan. A great intellectual and an educationist, Dr. Rehman has made these series of lectures for a common person in easy Urdu language for them to understand the importance and impact of philosophers on the evolution and mindsets of societies. How philosophy influences societies and how philosophy is influenced by the history and current issues of a society.

    On Islamic philosophy, this series is actually better than Peter Adamson's podcasts History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps.

    He did not support rationality but did say that being rational is good for one as one may understand the religious dogmas well. Five things he (Al-Ghazali) says are of paramount importance for a human being: Life, Religion, Intellect, Offsprings, and Property.
