A last-second inquiry for Jordan Chiles routine bumped her score by one tenth to give her the bronze (13.766) over Romania's Ana Barbosu (13.700). This is the first individual Olympic medal of Chiles career. #NBCSports #Olympics #Paris2024

For real NBC Sports editors, producers...whoever??? Watching the celebrations is part of experiencing the Olympics as a spectator. Why would you cut it off right there?!!
  • @PokemonHell
This was very poorly edited. The only reason we even know there was some point correction is because of the video title, there's no explanation whatsoever in this video...and then you cutoff her celebrating even tho the thumbnail shows her and Biles celebrating together. Please post better coverage of this one

DEAR NBC, yall are having the worst coverage and possibly the worst title edits and spoilers

For anyone confused on what happened and why Barbosu didn’t win bronze, Jordan had a skill (split leap with a 1.5 turn) that wasn’t originally counted by mistake. After reevaluating, the judges finally gave her credit in the form of a tenth, which was enough to push her ahead of Barbosu just enough to win. Congrats to Jordan! It was a close victory. I feel for Barbosu ❤

As an American, Romania got so robbed. I’m honestly embarrassed.

Congrats to Jordan! The judges made a mistake in their difficulty scoring and when they reviewed it they changed the score. The sad thing is I knew I would find people saying Jordan didn't deserve it or the US cheated instead of seeing what actually happened. Judges are human, they made a mistake. Let the girl enjoy her hard earned medal.
  • As soon as this Team was announced I knew the American Girls had a pretty stacked Team! It wasn't just Simone and Suni! We knew they were Super Stars! 🎉Happy to see Jordan and Jade also show how awesome they are!

Jordan Chiles - 1 Gold, 1 Bronze Congratulations on your success at the Olympics. So proud of you. Keep doing what you're doing. Many more to come. Go USA!!
  • The scores just seemed really low all around! Even with these low scores, the Romanians seemed to have been scored very lowly. Simone stepped out twice, and I didn’t think she had a chance of medaling, even with the level of difficulty! Seeing that Romanian girl start celebrating with her flag and then being led away crying, broke my heart.
  • The Romanian gymnast, Sabrina was clearly cheated out of a medal here. Their appeal was actually rejected and the American appeal was accepted. Seriously? In any case, irrespective of the whole technicality and the appeals process, to my eyes the Romanian routine was miles ahead. The crowd was appalled by the scores and even the American commentators thought that her performance was a challenge for the gold. Shocked that she didn't even place. Disgusting.

Congratulations to Jordan Chiles with the bronze! So proud of you. You shine so brightly for the USA!

People always complain that the U.S. has a record of submitting successful inquiries that result in medals. But what they should be complaining about is how too many other federations don't do a good enough job doing the same thing. Staff need to be on top of these issues! And I understand and respect that for some countries, there are cultural reasons why they don't like to file inquiries or protests, but that certainly doesn't apply in most cases. Advocating for your athletes is a crucial skill, even obligation. The U.S. (and the Russians) have it down pat. Credit to them for their efforts. Everyone else needs to be as aware and active instead of complaining when they succeed with it.

  • @McKelT
I’m gonna cry! Her coaches went immediately to contest on her behalf!!!! This is why it TAKES A TEAM! Well done Jordan and the coaching staff to fight for this!!!
  • @coll4455
I cried watching her reaction! Also NBC put her and the coaches full reaction on their shorts!
  • American here, Jordan's routine looked very shaky, she got bailed out.
  • @kristaw2686
This video was edited terribly, and I also don't understand why I haven't been able to find ANY national anthems and medal ceremonies? Come on!
  • @Bellaskyee
I screamed with them 😂😂. I’m beyond proud. Beautiful performance Jordan 🫶🏽🇺🇸💙.
