One thing that endears GAI to me is how I can listen to each album straight through as a single work and not skip a single song. He has re-taught me to listen to my favorite artists’ work as a whole.

His songs are finely crafted works of art. No one does it quite like him, dreamlike, ephemeral, timeless and rooted so deeply

Listening since 2008. Saw him this year for the first time. Cried all night. Wounds were healed for me. The best folk artist of a generation and then some. The band is also unbelievably talented. Such incredible masterful musicians of their respective instruments.

Saw him in Asheville at the beginning of October. It was absolutely soul-touching. I got some drinks out at a gin bar after the show with the friends I went with, and an hour and a half later he and the band walked in! Such a kind and gracious dude. We were on our way out, but of course we wanted to thank them for the show and their music’s impact on us. He was so humble and welcoming, offered me a photo, and invited us to chat with he and the band for a bit. His banjo/keys guy, Steve Varney, who I’m also a huge fan of, talked with me for like 20 minutes about some nerdy instrument stuff.

Became a fan of Gregory this year and I saw him live twice back in August it was truly magical and incredible, he sounds so amazingly live almost like your hearing the studio versions. He also seems such like down to earth person with so much strong passion he has towards his music and his farm just a genuine human.

It’s hard to describe how I feel about GAI and their music. All I know is nothing else compares, I feel it my soul, and listen to them exclusively ❤

I am not sure what emotions are going on when I hear his songs, and the backup vocals are out of this world. Everything about this is so real. Immaculate recording. Put in earbuds and be transported. ❤️
  • Love this album so much but this recording is just so incredible. Each element adds to the overall whole and it’s just perfect. Get some headphones and hang for a bit.

I was at his concert just a few days ago. I got emotional so many times. Most of the comcert I had my eyes closed. Such a profound experience, made me think if we had peace in the world. Grateful

We saw him at the Ryman a few weeks ago, such a wonderful concert, he ended the concert with the Stable song, whole audience on their feet singing with them. Wonderful night! Thank you so much.
