Once a knight had made the journey from his home to the distant battlefield on which his lord had ordered him to fight, what did he do? In earlier episodes Jason has looked at the knight’s weapons, but what were his battle tactics? How did he approach the enemy battle lines and what did he do when he got there? Jason talks about his own experiences with the lance and fighting from horseback.

I have a feeling this man just told us his personal experience from centuries ago...

This is a true History Channel, not like the actual history channel.
  • @beatthegreat7020
At this point you’re just flexing on the History Channel. I love it.
  • @THENEW6
Mr. Kingsley, I strongly believe you are an actual medieval english knight who has time-travelled to our era.
  • I thought I was in for another video of a guy talking about knights from the comfort of his couch (and I'm totally okay with that, I love history). Wait, he's on horseback? With a proper horse? Wearing armor? Charging down the field competently hitting practice targets again and again? Subscribed.

Dear Mr. Kingsley, Thank you so much for creating this amazing series and publishing it for free. This is the best series on historical technology and the Culture of European medieval knights that I have ever seen. Please continue into the future, I think that your insights and presentations will inspire people for years to come. Thank you for sharing your time with us, it is very kind of you. Regards Tom

I'm not gonna lie. I'm sick as a dog and I have binge watched this series from episode 1 to 26 INCLUDING all of the vlogs in between. I found this series due to the food spots. My god the amount of time, effort and money that went into this is amazing. If this was on DVD I'd buy the box set. Simply amazing series, especially since I love history

  • this guy seems so nice and genuine. i get such a good vibe from this man for some reason lol.. seems like he belongs in the old days as a chivalrous white knight fighting for the love of his lady in a jousting tournament lmao
  • @TheCivildecay
Love how this guys looks so natural in armor and on the back of a horse :) He could have tricked me if he said he was secretly a timetraveler from medieval europe
  • @lc3433
Just love the way this guy is casually teaching us history, holding a lance, whilst riding a horse. He’s like the Old Spice guy, ‘look at you man, now back to me... I’m on a horse’

I was summed by my king last month to be deployed as heavy cavalry and thanks to this video I looked like a pro!
  • @samueltheblonde
I'm sorry. The white horse is extremely good looking. I imagine Gandalf riding that horse.
  • @SheyD78
Its beautiful to see that last minute acceleration from the horse just before the impact. It just looks powerful. Nice video
  • "you never charge your lances against a solid wall" - he never played age of empires 2
  • @jnixa1010
That slo mo of the lance hitting the helmet was devastating. All that force from the horse energy being focused on that target was awesome
  • @W..949
I feel like a squire being taught by a real knight lmao

I can't express how glad I am to have stumbled upon this channel. I didn't even know I was into medieval stuff that much, but listening to this reincarnated medieval soul makes me want to go back in time and live a medieval life.
