Man, still feels like a bad dream. This new world without Tom Petty is hard to get used to.

It's a random Thursday evening 7/11/2024, and I'm craving me some Tom Petty! Why? Well, I enjoy getting real with myself every now and then and Tom GROUNDS ME! Great to listen to his music after treating myself for a barefoot walk through the yard! Try it! Lol

Tom would be disgusted by the world today. #RIP Mr. Petty. The world is far worse without you in it

"They're playin' it in Boston." Thank you, Peter Wolf. ... Paul Hewson once said he loved Boston because it is off off Broadway. Bands could hang out, be themselves, and work out the kinks before hitting Manhattan, the media capital of the world. Heartbreaker double-bills with Geils and later the Outlaws are more fun than a teenager could ever have imagined. Even the HellsAngels were in a good mood that day, at the Coliseum. I was a kid, didn't know any better, walked over and asked the guy about his bike. He taught me the basics, total gentleman. If I ever get stuck with a groundhog day, I hope it's that day. God bless Tom, Mike, Stan, Benmont and Ron. πŸ™

My wife and I had 2nd row seats. When American Girl is played, even just right now, my 100th time watching this video, tears come to my eyes. I would never see this man and this group together again. That is a loss for the world. I hope you are rocking the skies in heaven open Tom Petty. God bless ya my brother!

He died the year my husband died. I missed them both so much, still as much now as then.

Ferrone is so damn good... its obvious why Tom chose Steve. He fits into the Heartbreakers like a hand in a glove. What a band and what a show... Petty was a true Rock & Roller. Much missed in these days of corporate identikit bands, he was his own man from start to finish. Rest well Tom. Your music is forever....
