The eye color is due to diet, those who drink human blood have red eyes, the cullens don't so they have yellow eyes. Great reaction once again.

What makes me SO mad about Jacob is that he basically becomes a completely different character from Eclipse on! It really feels to me like Stephanie Meyer saw how popular he was becoming as the secondary love interest and had to make a sharp detour to remind everyone that Edward is the only "right" choice for Bella 😒

18:04 The eye colour depends on what they eat. The Cullens have golden eyes because they drink animal blood. However, Vampires like the Volturi or Victoria only drink human blood and therefore their eyes are red.
