I had my replacement surgery in April of 2014.
It was my C-6 & C-7, they used the Nuvasive PCM.
Cost was around 50K, life span should be 30-40 years, will let you know, lol!

I want to thank you so much? I had my C6-C7 mobi-c disc replacement on 6/5. I was terrified and watched this video so many times you were very informative and funny at the same time. Thank you I thought I would never feel normal again and because of you I had the strength to do it. You are a blessing hugz.

Hello Sonia, Thank you so much. Tomorrow I will meet my doctor to decide about a surgery. Your video is honest and believe me it helps to take a decision and to have the good question prepared. Kindest regards from Switzerland
  • Gorgeous! Thank you for your video. I have been having a tough time making the decision to go ahead with surgery on my c7. The artificial disc replacement is an option for me and listening to your story has given me the courage to go ahead with it. I hope you are still doing great! B

thanks for this video, I'm a 55yr old disabled vet who had a ruptured disc C6 C7 2 yrs ago but the Dr. went in at the back of my neck. Felt great! Now I have 2 cervical bulged discs w/spurs. Damn! Oh the VA did pay for the surgery.

Hi so I did the surgery June 5th so far I’m feeling great that you for your video it helped me get my life back :)
  • I'm 34 and having 2 replaced. I have severe spinal compression. I'm not on pain meds and haven't had injections. They refused injections. I have a 2 year old and omg I'm seriously not sure how I've made it this far. When you have someone counting on you, the stregnth you have is incredible- super woman. Stregnth you didn't know you had. I wish I had a little help but I'm beyond excited about this surgery. I don't even care about the scar. ❤

Hi Sonja, that you so much for posting this follow up video. I just had my 2nd surgery for another herniated disc on C45 level. Ugh!!! Had C56 fused in December 2010. My surgeon recommended ADR this time. I got the MOBI-C disc. It's currently the only Disc FDA approved for 2 levels. I am about a week and 1/2 post surgery. Doing well but sleeping kinda stinks right now. I am 35 so I am worried about the disc lifespan as well. Had the exact pain you described in your video on my previous level surgery. It is terrible and I don't wish it on my worst enemy. Anyhow, thanks again for posting this video. It's good to hear positive stories. Looking at reviews online is scary sometimes. Take care and God Bless you. -Justin

Thanks for sharing Sonia. I've had C3,4 and 5 done in 2008 and now need 6 because my arms and fingers have been numb for 5 months.I cant wait to feel better. Kinda miserable now. Good video.

Hi there... thanks for this video. I'm going for the c6 c7 disc replacement on October 18 2017. I'm looking forward to being pain free and having fuller range of motion. Good to see many positive outcomes post surgery. I'm in Ontario so the cost is a non factor. Thanks again.

Thank you for the video. It was good to hear another's experience of having pain and getting treatment that worked. After a very active life style at the age if 75 I started having severe pain, numbness and pins and needles from my neck to entire left shoulder, arm and hand. I thought it might be another rotator cuff tear like I had 4 years ago on my right shoulder, but my left shoulder was OK and not the problem. MRI showed severe stenosis between C4 and C5 with no space around spinal cord at all. The surgeon recommended ACDF probably because of my age, but we have another appt to discuss everything and I will ask about disc replacement. But arthritis is present and I guess that's another reason fusion is the usual remedy and a redo probably isn't in the cards 15-20 years down the road. I glad it worked out for you. I just hope to be rid of the pain and enjoy doing my usual activities again.

So sorry you had to go thru so much pain ! Sounds awful ! That is an amazing surgery. I'm sending this to 2 people I know going thru this. Happy for you and you can't even notice the scar at all not that it would matter after so much pain a scar is nothing. Good for you ! Cheers 🍷

It is a remarkable realization when you are given your life back.  I frequently forget that I ever had a problem.  My surgery was on 1 April 2009 (no kidding) and zero pain since.
