  • Hi there! I'm posting this video later in the week than usual: and do please stay tuned for a second " catching up" video tomorrow! ❤
  • I love dandelions and I was remembering that once when I was a little school girl I lost my gym bloomers (yes, it was a private school for girls and they actually made us wear bloomers!😂) and my “punishment “ was that I had to go out to the lawn outside and pick dandelions! Did you know that the name comes from the French phrase dents de lion, which means "teeth of lion"? The dandelion's leaves have jagged edges, which is why it's also known as "Lions Tooth". Anyways, I collected a big jar of them that afternoon at school, and did not feel happy that they had inflicted “carpral punishment “ on me, but secretly I enjoyed being in the schoolyard among the flowers and kept trying to get that punishment again!

Happy birthday dear Celeste. Your brooch is lovely and so special. The books sound wonderful as well! 😊Enjoy the spring!
  • Happy belated birthday, Celeste! And congratulations on 1000 subscribers!!! The art on that Anne edition is absolutely gorgeous!!!
  • @amyofhearthridge
L.M. Montgomery is my favorite author. I so agree about the darkness, but it makes the light and cozy parts shine out all the more. What a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday. ♥️
  • @lindamaxie
What an interesting observation about the darkness in L.M. Montgomery's novels! That makes me want to reread and see if I can spot it. The Emily books are more dark than the Anne books and I picked up the idea somewhere that they are more autobiographical than the Anne books. And now, I'll need to watch Anne with an "E." Your comment, "The good old days were only the good old days for some," was a good reminder! I did love Blue Willow! What a sweet story. Your pin is lovely--what a sweet gift! Happy Birthday, Celeste!
  • Congratulations on the 1000 subscribers. So many books and so little time. When I look at other book tubers channels it only makes my tbr bigger! Happy reading to you.

Happiest of Birthdays Lady Celeste! I am only familiar with Anne of Green gables via the 1980s film, which I enjoyed. Your reintroducing this work is enticing and I just may give it a read. Thanks
  • @WaterBearReads
Celeste! Congratulations on 1K!!!! I have been so excited for you! I am so happy you spoke of Blue Willow because I see it often in the vintage bookstores I visit, and I have been wondering about it. Your son has lovely taste I absolutely love that broach! I watched this video late last night when I was exporting a video with a slew of technical challenges, and it was exactly what I needed! Always so relaxing! Thank you! I need to get outside but will watch your video you just put up later today and am looking forward to it!💕

happy birthday! loved hearing your take on the Anne with an E netflix series -- I found it some time ago - am half way thru season 3. I think this series is so well casted - especially Gilbert, Marilla, Matthew and Diana - of course Anne! have a lovely weekend! beautiful books gifted to you!

Birthday wishes Celeste🎉. Thank you for today’s reading recommendations.
  • @Daria-4215
Happy birthday, Celeste, and thank you for such a heartwarming video! What a lovely brooch, it’s definitely a perfect birthday gift! I like the Anne with an E tv series, but I want to read all the books, maybe this year. Dandelion Cottage is so beautiful book as well as the little yellow cottage. And dandelion is my favorite flower. All the books are wonderful, I am so glad for you!
  • @Homeward_Pilgrim
Happy birthday, Celeste. Wish you many more! Thank you for the information on the biography of L.M. Montgomery. It sounds very interesting. I did finally get a three-month Audible membership, for an introductory price. I always found it confusing, but once I took the plunge, it was fine. I wonder how you decide to get an audio book instead of, or along with, a text copy.

I'm late, but Happy Belated Birthday! I really enjoyed your closer look at Anne of Green Gables. It's a series I reread every so often. I'm not much of a crier, but I always cry in Rilla of Ingleside. Blue Willow was a favorite of mine as a girl, and I recently put it on my TBR for this summer, too! I'm sure I'm in for a good read with it. Have you read Thale's Folly by Dorothy Gilman? Not one of her wonderful Mrs. Pollifax books, but still fun. It has some of that fixing up a house in the woods vibe. As does Thornyhold by Mary Stewart. I think you'd probably enjoy both of those if you haven't read them already. Thanks for sharing, I always get a smile from your videos.
  • @amyofhearthridge
Happiest Birthday 🥳 The brooch is DARLING. I have Dandelion Cottage on my Kindle. Love your copy! Have your read Mandy by Julie Andrews?
  • @still-reading
Incident at Badamya is the other non-Mrs. Pollifax book that I've read and really liked. It's quite different, and I suspect gives us a glimpse into her personal philosophy. But really good. :)
