Kitchen Nightmares UK is like watching a educational documentary. It's calm and relaxing while Kitchen Nightmares US is a soap opera full of emotion and dramatic music.

It's crazy going from the U.S version of the show, to the UK version. The lack of stressful sound effects and music makes it seem so calm.

The kitchen nightmares UK was so much better than the US version. No overdramatization, no sudden sound effects like someone slapping violin strings, no constant jump cuts and zoom-ins or any of that "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT"-s***. Just chill. The editing for the UK version was fantastic too, they went full comedy mode with the song selection. In the Fish & Anchor-episode, one of the owners is smoking a cigarette in a close up and Shirley Bassey's "Kiss me honey honey" is played over the scene. Lmao.

"This place is going to be the biggest shithole in Wales!". That's a bold statement, Gordon. There's some pretty stiff competition in Wales.

3:10 The thing about UK version is that, even when Gordon gets worked up, you feel like it's real and justified. In the US it usually feels like he's yelling mostly because the producers thought it would look fun on camera.

Man I love Kitchen Nighmares UK. The silence is tense enough to make you feel nervous without all those sound effects added in the USA version.
