Questions/Time Stamps (probably not needed this week, but I did it anyways) 😝 5:58 Who makes these vehicles? 14:14 How are vehicle teams broken down? 19:58 How do we decide which ships get made? 27:35 What is the priority for the ship team? 29:38 Where on the list of priorities would you place "Wee woo" lights? 33:52 Why do sometimes we choose a new vehicle over something from the backlog? 37:50 Variants, are we looking to go back and make more? 44:08 Modularity? (Update) 46:15 What's next for modules? 47:40 Ground vehicles? 48:40 Any hope for ground physics for ground vehicles? (Ursa) 50:40 Are ground vehicles as big a priority as spaceships? 53:25 Did you change the medbed respawning just to sell more "nurses"? 56:33 Where's my spaceship? (What's in the current pipeline?) 1:03:28 What's the big thing on the backlog that's coming this year? 1:08:03 New concept vehicle? (with a hint(spoiler)
  • WeeWoo lights control idea. Prospector and Mole engage mining mode with M keybind. Vulture and Reclaimer engage salvage mode with M keybind. Cutlass Blue & Red, Pisces Rescue and Ursa Medivac special mode is WeeWoo lights. WeeWoo lights should be engaged with M keybind.

WHEN will the CARGO DOORS of the CARRACK finally be able to OPEN!!!??????????
  • @Stinger_X
I wish they never mentioned work on the gold standard of the 600i years ago.
  • @mckinney9739
those models on Jared's desk look amazing. props to whoever painted them
  • @TheHoneyThief
"Why do you favour new over the backlog?" "We left it too long."
  • @Artorien
Jared is such a champ, man. I know he's not alone in the whole dev team, but I personally feel he always speaks for me, especially on ship matters, modularity, etc. I know his role is to bring those player issues up so the experts can shed some light on the situation and educate us on this massive process, which I appreciate greatly.
  • @jodofe4879
I like that Jared brings up marketing, since that is something you hear a lot (and many decisions do often feel like they have been marketing-driven). And it is good that the developers are open about the influence marketing has too. For all of the things you can criticize CIG for, they are at least a lot more open than most other game development studios.
  • @spider0804
Redoing every ship for the resource network will mean one thing to me. CIG will have to acknowledge that the Gladiator exists and actually modify it in a meaningful way.
  • @Mr_Freeman
I just love how it's not scripted, everything just happening in the background, especially during the end 😂
  • @hIGH_aND_mIGHTY
Jared: Death of a Spaceman is still a thing Nursa trailer: I've done this a thousand times.
  • @ksl-988
Tonight on a very special Star citizen Live: Space Dad sits down with the backers for an emotional heart-to-heart.
  • @donk8961
One thing that hasn't been touched on in a long time is reasons to use ground vehicles. Things like roads from spaceport to shopping centers at A18. Distro centers are a start.
  • @Spike.SpiegeI
Don't see how people are disappointed, they literally told us everything they're working on. They can only do so much at once, I'm sure the polaris is taking up lots of resources.
  • @augameplays
06:01 lol, I just realized there's a floating NPC in t-pose passed by the window
  • @joppa560
"where's my spaceship" for me it's where's my titan suit
  • @XeroCreator
If nothing else... PLEASE update the carrack and add an elevator that comes outside the ship, the one at the rear of the ship is perfect to punch a hole, even if if has to relocate a turret somewhere... it would be worth it! having to lower the ramp on such a large ship is crazy at this point... I guess if the galaxy comes out before that happens, it won't matter... but still, the carrack deserves it! Edit: Forgot to mention that galaxy was after the Polaris in the video, at least that's the last that was said.
  • @MrNocturnal1
To hear the Polaris is coming this year made me the happiest citizen in the verse. Thank you!
  • As an owner of a Perseus it does actually help to just hear it's not being worked on. Id prefer timelines but barring that just acknowledging what's actively being worked on is a start
