In this video I show you 10 of the best speaking activities for the ESL classroom. The 10 activities are designed for all ages, from kids to teens and even adults.

When we ask our students what skill they'd like to improve they almost always say, speaking. Not reading. Not listening and not writing. Luckily, students love doing speaking activities in class and over the last 12 years I've designed a lot. In this video, I have put together 10 that have worked the best during my time as an English Teacher.

These tasks are not designed for any level in particular so you can adapt them depending on whether you're working with beginner or advanced learners.

Lots of great ideas! My favourites are the ones that get students out of their seats, moving around the classroom and talking to their classmates. Basically, student-centred to the max.

I’ve recently discovered your channel. This is genius! So helpful. This is the most difficult task for my students. However, would you recommend using dictionaries with those students who don’t know much vocabulary? Regards from Écija, Seville, .
