Here's one of my all-time favourites - a truly fantastic song by one of the greatest singer/songwriter's ever. Join me as we go through the chords and strumming patterns together as well as the iconic intro that kicks this one off. We'll do a slow playalong and then it's full speed ahead toward the end for a concert speed playalong - let's go!
For those who'll be asking....I'm using the 'Jazz 4' setting on the Beatbuddy at 150BPM.
Songsheets are always available at www.patreon.com/guitaratwork
And.....we'll be playing along with the fabulous BEATBUDDY drum machine pedal and we'll be using the amazing AEROS Loop Studio GOLD EDITION pedal from Singular Sound. Play along with me!

  • You’re a brilliant teacher, more people need to watch your videos

If you're struggling with barre chords, go to a lighter-gauge set of strings. Seriously -- I switched from .12-.53 to .11-.52 and it has made ALL the difference in my barre chords!! Who'da thunk such a small change could make such a big difference, but wow! Definitely something to consider next time you need to change your strings.
  • "If there was a piano player in the room we'd have to call it something else..." Love it. Guitar reality...
  • Hey, thanks brother. Nice guitar lesson. And you are also a gifted communicator.

So love the way you teach, Shane. You are so reassuring that no matter how impossible it feels in the beginning, that with practice, we can do this! Thanks so much for your lessons!

Another great job Shane! No matter how accomplished of a guitarist we are there is always something to take from your lessons and incorporate into our playing. No one better out there at explaining the how and why. Thxs for your efforts.
  • Great song....great artist.....Shane, these lessons make my weekend....thanks pal...
  • Great teaching technique. I learned so much faster with your technique and approach than sooooo many other teachers who seem to get me hung up on little details and embellishments leading me to give up on some songs before I learn them. You separate embellishments from the necessary structure of the song first so we can gradually build on that. love it!
