  • I can't post pics, but I have to share because it makes me so happy: I adopted an adult cat a year ago. I wasn't sure at all if she would ever accept a roommate because she came from the streets where she'd obliously been abandoned by a previous owner for whatever reason and she displayed clear signs of being protective over her resources, even though she was immediately owning her new territory. About a month and a half ago I fell in love with a kitten from my neighborslitter and decided to try. My adult kitty was so upset at first that I felt so guilty and was trying to figure out how to find the kitten a good home, but Day the kitten managed to slip passed the barrier I set up to try to let them get used to each other gradually and my adult cat just sort of accepted that this was a thing now. A month later and my kitten is learning from her big sibling and the adult has taken to grabbing the kitten and giving her baths and wrest'ling with her as gently as you would a baby. And they both seem so happy!
  • I once had a cat that would only park on my shins or chest, and would open s cabinet to sleep in a frying pan

We have a Maine Coon male cross that was returned to the shelter twice and was not in good mental shape when we got him. Several years later he is the sweetest boy and is really sociable. He has a whole language of his own and it quite capable of telling us what he wants. He is completely unlike any of our previous cats and is an absolute delight to have around. On top of all that he is a VERY successful mouser. Such an adorable cat to say the least.

Thanks for featuring my cat Mack as Cat of the Week!
  • Thank you for this video ❤❤❤ Cats are just the most fascinating creatures in the Universe ❤🐾😻😺

My two cats tend to stretch when I start to take their food dishes to their room. My latest adopted cat learned that behavior from the resident cat. Pretty cool.
  • Both my cats allow me to stroke their bellies, they were desensitised when they were raised from kittens. However there’s are certain times they are more stimulated and it’s easy to read from their body language.
  • I have A Norwegian Forest Cat who is very big and long. He can reach at the way up to the kitchen counter and does so often. While doing that, he'll head butt me in my hip, saying "I love you; give me a treat please?"
  • My cat stretches for me, and also gives me an obligatory chirrup when I pet him while he's pretending to sleep an not notice I'm petting him. I love the sounds he makes! I taught him different sounds for each thing he might want by repeating the same noise for the same thing, like grass, catnip, water, etc. He caught on and now will let me know what he wants! It's fun and helps us both out.

My rescue tabby is very affectionate. She loves to get brushed and stroked. We do a good deal of slow blinking at one another. She never scratches the furniture or knocks items off counters and tabletops. However, her favorite part of me is my chest. Only rarely has she ever cuddled up on my lap. No, she likes to park it so I can see nothing but her. I can't read, watch TV or scroll on my phone. Also, when she follows me in the bathroom EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in, she loves to scratch my shins, though I have repeatedly scolded her for doing so. Cats are weird but delighfully so. 🥰🐈
  • My friend has three American Shorthairs, that I cat sit often...the boy is the only one interested in following us to the bathroom...I assume it's from a combination of genes from thousands of years of evolution & his Kitty Walter Mitty fantasies...lately, it's become obvious, he thinks he's a lion on the plains of Africa, leading his pride (his two aunties, my friend and me) thru the bush, to the banks of the Zambezi (the bathroom), where he protects us from imaginary packs of zebra, gazelle, wildebeest, etc...I always make sure to thank him for sitting outside the bathroom guarding me from life's dangers...like running out of tp...🤔

My roommate and I trapped and eventually adopted this 1-year-old feral cat who was living in our yard (at 9500 feet in the CO Rockies) who was so deeply mistrustful of humans he would not allow himself to even be touched - he’d run away at top speed the second your hands began to move to touch him - it was like he read your mind if you so much as thought about trying to pet him! So I made it a personal goal to win over his trust. For three months I never even thought about trying to pet him once, but I would constantly and repeatedly walk right up to him and walk away, until he got used to me. Then I’d walk up to him and stand or sit very close to him without even trying to touch him, and he got used to that. At that point I could actually reach my hand out to him without him running away, and soon after that he started wanting me to pet him! About a month later he was rolling over onto his back and demanding belly-rubs and purring loudly the whole time! It was such an amazing turn-around. Unfortunately I’m the only human being he allows to even touch him so far at age 4 now, but that’s fine with me.
  • my Cats exhibit all of these perfectly normal behaviors. The only thing weird is the people who don't get it !:-) 😻
  • @mbpass
This video is purr-fect! 😺 It's amazing to finally understand why my cat has all these quirky behaviors. The bathroom following explanation was spot on! 🐾 Keep up the great content
  • My cat Ace likes to chase toys down the steps. He also likes to leave toys on individual steps.
  • My cat knocks my glass cases off my dresser in the morning, usely when she wants me to get out of bed &start are day, all paws up.🐾🐱
  • Cats knocking thing off shelves are not jerks. They are extremely skeptical physicists. They feel it necessary to check every day that gravity is still working correctly.
