I love how his friend who got beat up got the power to call the villain stupid

It's always like this. The hero does something super stupid or apparently usless. But then turns out to be the right thing...for plot reasons

You gotta love when the hero tells the villain to "hold this L" and the villain can do nothing but humbly accept

The hero after explaining that his punches were actually useful. The villain: S U D D E N R E A L I Z A T I O N ✨

Hero: "Oh you back" Ally: "Yes!" Punches him one more time

“I’m going to save her” “how?” “By beating the crap out of her” “understandable.”

"Hey, I'm here for the interview" "Okay, what's your power?" "I have the power to deactivate mind control effects" "Oh, cool, that's actually really useful, now we can stop fighting our own guys" "Yeah, the only thing is that in order to activate it I have to punch the people being controlled." "Okay, well that's still better than-" "Like a lot." "...how much is a lot?" "Well like, when I'm physically assaulting an innocent person I give off an aura that nullifies mind control powers. So like, I have to... beat them... so hard that it breaks the mind control" "...how exactly does this aura work?" "Okay well it's like, a sorta confusion field. So like, I'll be punching them, over and over again, and the villain will just get so confused that they... deactivate their own power" "GET OUT! GET OOOOUUUUT!"

I love how Jacob is completely fine with having being punched by his friend earlier

Lesson: The villain cared about him more than his friend. Trust no one.

I expected it to be like: Protagonist: But we're friends Ally: ah shit yeah snaps out of mind control

This is exactly how the episode "Tough Love" went in the Powerpuff Girls. The girls didn't even do the whole "I know you're in there somewhere" routine. They just beat the crap out of their mind controlled loved ones guilt-free!
