Nothing like hearing Jim flower Eloy by saying hes a world class drummer. Just brings so much hope to something that has been so good for so long, how does this even come about !
  • Love the passion of the Brazilian people, they are super proud of their boy. So good also to hear Jim say how lucky Slipknot are to have him too, he's the best metal drummer in the world imo

Donated money to no kill shelters?! Dude I’m definitely a slipknot fan now🤝
  • Great to see and hear band mates giving it up , for their fellow band mates. It’s a hard industry, especially these days . Also great to see talented musicians get into a spot well deserved.

their next string of albums will be insane with eloy is in the mix he will elevate their sound like it did for sepultura that quadra album is so good.

Jay and Eloy are like the two best drummers to honor Joey's legacy. While I miss Jay and Joey, Eloy is gonna crush this thing man.

It’s crazy to see that Eloy joining the band is actually putting some sort of pressure on Slipknot to raise the bar.

"It was a little bit difficult." - Jim Root, Slipknot, 2024 on Eloy's 2 minute drum loop.

I know a lot of people are bummed about Jay being gone, and like everybody else, I of course miss Joey... But at the end of the day, this is the best case scenario. Eloy is probably the best drummer on the planet right now, and I'm just so happy that he got that gig because he just seems to be such a great dude, worthy of the honor. But personality aside, the guy is just a beast. SO much power, finesse, and an almost mechanical like timing. The dude's a human metronome. This is the best I've heard some of these older songs sound...I think Eloy may even be technically better than Joey was. I know a lot of people will see that as heresy... But, I truly believe it.

All this nationalism by Brazilians and even south americans has something close to an explanation. It's not normal for Brazilian (and South American in general) artists to be successful worldwide, even when they're fking awesomem. Being awesome is not enough. It's a victory for us that someone from here actually got it. Someone from the USA or Europe wouldn't understand. We feel that in minimal ways. From even memes originated here, to voice actors/actors making part of big movies; like Wagnenr Moura as Death in puss in boots. I can't explain, it's just a unique sense of community; by the "disadvantaged".

funny how the quality of the albums directly correlates to Jim's statement about the band writing together and separately.

Jim is such a legend. I love how open he is with people on the details of things. Such a good dude
