Scorpion - Hellfire with Vengence - MK11 - Intros

Published 2024-06-03
Scorpion is synonymous with Mortal Kombat. "Get over here!" is both his, and series, most iconic line. He's been a playable character in every Mortal Kombat except MK3 (He was eventually added in later versions of the game. I had to double check that!). He's even the logo for Mortal Kombat developer NetheRealm Studios! The original Scorpion's real name is Hanzo Hasashi. In the initial lore Bi-Han (the first Sub Zero) had killed Hasashi and his wife and son. Hanzo was allowed to return to the physical realm as an undead specter, to seek revenge. His clan the Shirai Ryu was enemies with Sub Zero's clan the Lin Kuei. As the series progressed its revealed that the evil sorcerer Quan Chi was responsible for the initial conflict, and the destruction of the Shirai Ryu. Scorpion has been portrayed as both a hero and a villain. His grief over the loss of his wife and son, and his fierce devotion to rebuilding and protecting his clan are always a present. His kunai on a rope, and his ability to manipulate hellfire have kept him easily identifiable and popular on the Mortal Kombat roster.
