The Four Horsemen HD: Hour 1 of 2 - Discussions with Richard Dawkins, Ep 1
2009-02-22に共有
All four authors have recently received a large amount of media attention for their writings against religion - some positive, and some negative. In this conversation the group trades stories of the public's reaction to their recent books, their unexpected successes, criticisms and common misrepresentations. They discuss the tough questions about religion that face the world today, and propose new strategies for going forward.

Dawkins must've been so happy to sit next to his idol, Charles darwin.
-
With only two of these men left, it's an honor to have this open discussion here on youtube. Long live Daniel and Hitch.
-
Even after all these years it still hurts so much every time I'm reminded that Christopher is no longer with us. We miss you Hitch ❤️

Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens exemplify the pinnacle of spoken language skills. I haven't encountered anyone else who speaks English more eloquently while maintaining utmost clarity of thought. They reminded me of the often-forgotten fact that words carry meaning.

Notice how they almost NEVER interrupt one another. Awesome to see 4 intellectuals have respect for each other

We lost a great man 10 years ago today. You'll never be forgotten. RIP Hitch!

Hitchens speaks so beautifully, never a word misplaced. A true joy and a pleasure to watch/listen.

This is like a support group for educated rational people.

15+ years, and this conversation becomes more relevant with each passing day. Yes, I miss Hitch's contributions to public discourse. On an even more positive note, it was this conversation that led me to Sam Harris.
-
I admire the way Richard Dawkins absorbs information and his appetite for knowledge is unfathomable.
-
How I adore hearing hitch speak
-
one of the better uses of the internet so far
-
Still miss Hitch, but listening to these 4 is a breath of fresh air.

Imagine the linguistic and emotional intelligence of Christopher Hitchens What a classy human. A true cigar wielding, tailored suited & booted, blunt individual who will not let anything sneak past him when it comes to truth.
-
“What if I’m wrong?” (15:15) I asked my (former) pastor, “What if you’re wrong?” His response: “I’m not.” My reply, “Not even a chance?” ...”None,” he asserted. I was excused from his office and church shortly thereafter.

I've watched this before, and I'll tell you what; I'll watch it again.

“Confusion and suffering may be our birthright but wisdom and happiness are available”
