One thing you forgot is that glacial scythe explodes projectiles on the ground so you don't actually have to aim precisely and it does the same damage regardless, it can even sometimes double proc damage
-
For the yeti's sword, u get more dmg when the mob is closer to the center of the chunk
-
I'm pretty sure the reason as to why the Yeti Sword is inconsistent in damage is because it deals more damage when closer to the target.
-
Here's what I think about these weapons (in no particular order) Spirit sceptre: good damage, easy to use, versatile Glacial scythe: good damage, harder to use, but very good for clear if you practice with it Yeti sword: big rock smash = big damage (very fun to use) Midas staff: great damage, but a little bit difficult to use and is very expensive All these weapons are good in certain scenarios, but it's mostly about figuring out what works best for you.

For glacial scythe you need to aim at the feet. it does pierce dmg and explosion dmg on hitting a block
-
also the yeti sword depends on how close and far you are from your target the closer you are the more damage it will deal
-
11:00 I think the yeti sword ability damage is based on how close to the center of the chunk the mob is
-
Something I think should be mentioned is that the yeti sword is probably well paired with the baby yeti pet (legendary): It boosts the damage and intelligence of the yeti sword, providing more lcm and rcm damage and the pet also serves as a great solution for tankiness (also use dwarf turtle shelmet)
-
The I have with the yeti sword is that it has a hyperion like playstyle so you are close to the mobs but it doesn't offer the buffs that the hyperion and other necron blades give such as healing.

thanks to help this community and make those interessting vids gab !
-
the clear issue you had with glacial scythe was a very clear skill issue, as well as the miniboss fight, if you aim at feet it does 2x damage due to the fact its hitting them twice, once with the explosion and once when it pierces through the target. in clear you completely ignored the explosion damage which would help a lot clearing
-
love ur vids, always amazingly edited and informative <3 also thanks for being really nice to me in that end lobby when me and my friend tried to kill a dragon :D
-
Another thing to consider is what the difference in price means, for the lower price of the spirit sceptre, you could get a better pet, better armor or more talismans, which would decrease the difference in damage too and it would help outside of dungeons
-
For the glacial scythe, I crafted it for some reason when I was basically a noob, that I had a lot of ice minions and 10M on ice collection, I didn't know it was this good.
-
Oh wow that storm armor is really cool!! I wonder how you got it!?

You will only ever use multiple mage weapons at once (that is the point of a magic class). Yeti + sceptre works great, because you use sceptre for clear or long range and if there's a mini boss. Another amazing combo is Yeti + spoon. They each have a 1s cooldown, meaning you can cycle between them to do massive damage, while still using a sceptre for clearing mobs. The glacial scythe is actually good 😮!!! You have to aim at their feet, so the projectile AND explosion hit, doubling you damage. It is still not worth the 50m, but it is not as bad as you made it seem. Midas staff is really good. Honestly it's probably a skill issue if you can't do master mode with it. I know its not for clearing, but THATS WHAT THE SPIRIT SCEPTRE IS FOR!!!! You testing these weapons in F7 boss almost seems like you are purposely putting them into a bad environment to make the sceptre look like the only option. One last thing. To me at least, it seems like you are so used to a wither blade that you either [1] don't know what each of the weapons you tested is used for, [2] are used to large aoe from a wither blade (bias towards the sceptre), or [3] are using the complexity of the F7 boss fight as an excuse to be biased toward the sceptre. I usually agree with your videos and have an enjoyable time watching them, but this video is quite literally just you showing how biased you are towards a weapon. You focused way to much on clearing potential in this video, and because mage is meant to be played with a clear weapon AND a damage weapon, these tests were extremely skewed. And you probably won't see this comment, but hopefully it gets enough likes to bring it to the top.

I might be wrong but doesnt int. scaling still exist, so the weapon with better scaling would benefit more from the later game profile with more int
-
I think the yeti sword deals less damage the farther away you are from enemies, though i havent tested it too much.
-
thats the best editing in the skyblock youtube damn

Im using a spirit sceptre to clear and for minibosses/bosses I switch to my spoon, fully agree with you on the point that sceptre is just the best at clearing, but for a lower cata level its harder to consistenly kill mobs with high hp
