this seems less like a villain song and a king venting to himself(and unknowingly to Asha) about how ungrateful his kingdom is when he literally sacrifices everything he has to make them happy before opening up the evil book as a last ditch effort to attempt to ward off what he believes is a threat. What kind of villain king lets their subjects life with having to pay rent, and acting as their personal therapist?(“Im always there when you need to vent” seems like an accurate description of a therapist’s job) It seems like someone on the writing team wanted Magnifico to be the good guy or something.

I love the sequence of him raging on all the mini people figures. It doesn't matter what you think about the song. The visuals of the dark magic are very pleasing

For this song to work, we needed to see Magnifico actually do this good stuff. Show him being a super stand-up guy outside the wish thing.

Disney villains songs are always so catchy, and this one is no exception. Chris Pine did an amazing job, and I bet he was having a really fun time when doing this song.

Say whatever you want about this movie or this song, but you can't deny Chris Pine was clearly enjoying himself. Honestly, I like that this villain song is more upbeat. The ones in the past are iconic, but it's nice to twist things on occasion.
