Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”). Jennifer Lee (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) executive produces—Lee and Allison Moore (“Night Sky,” “Manhunt”) are writers on the project. Many don't understand that standing up and raising your voice is also fighting back. You don't need a grand final battle to the death to defeat the enemy. And this reprise shows it.

The reprise of This Wish was the biggest standout of the entire movie in my opinion. It was so powerful that it shows how overcoming doubt and tyranny CAN and WILL happen as long as people have a purpose worth fighting for.

"We've had generations of expectations, wondering why, wondering when. We're past dipping our toes in, we know it's do or die, it's sink or swim." I LOVE those lyrics! So powerful. So evocative. So heavy. Also absolutely adore a little later in the song when they all say together "what we do in this moment is defining." Ugh, CHILLS!!! Definitely a stand out part of the story and a Disney song moment that sticks with you after you leave the theater.

King Magnifico is probably one of the only Disney Villains, if not the only, to be defeated by being sung at.

Is it cheesy? Yes. But this is the kind of cheese I expect from Disney. It's basically the "Beat the bad guy with the power of friendship" trope, but it's in Disney song form. It's encouraging and empowering. God I love This Wish, both the actual song and the Reprise.

I love the reprise version when the people sing together. Also, King Magnifico is defeated and trapped inside the magic mirror just like Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs

I thought the golden age of disney ws over. But now that I look at this movie, I realize that disney will always be in a golden age.

This is when the movie came together. Does it have it problems? Absolutely. Does the 100 anniversary deserve better? Yes. But when I saw this in theaters, this is when I got that feeling. That feeling of magic only Disney can give.

Isn't it kind of interesting, that even in the end the entire kingdom was still thankful to Magnifico? "With our Wish held high, the way YOU always tought us to". Like a child that tells it's parent that it can protect itself now. Even after becoming a tyrant, the people were still thankful for the protection he gave them, even if they "were confusing his promises for protection".
