I miss the 2000’s so much. Those were the best days to be a kid. Everything was much more simpler and people were more active and social. Those were the days kids would play outside and weren’t hooked to their phones 24/7. Also the movies, music, and kids shows we had were the best! Boy, what I would give to go back to those days. 😢

This video hits hard, I remember when me and my friends would just hang out until the sun went down or longer. This is just bringing back memories from the back of my head.

I’m transported back in time to a specific memory. I am five years old. My parents just took me and my little sister to the park. We had to walk such a long distance to get back home. I’m home now, in my room. The street lights are turning on. I watch them from my window and bask in the blue twilight that comes right after the sun sets. My parents love me. Nobody has hurt me. Life is good.

2002-2009 was my peak childhood and although I grew up in a dysfunctional family, I still enjoyed my sunset walks with my parents and my little bro around neighborhood.

The sun is warm, the sky shines a bright blue. All is bliss. Toys R Us, Chucky Cheese, Target, and K-mart. Roblox, Destroy All Humans, and Worms. Running along with your best friend, water gun fights, rough housing, and climbing trees. All so simple.

I fucking cry knowing I can never get those times back. I'm from a completely different country, not western but the afternoon sun, the afternoon sky, I've seen these just two years ago when I used to come back home from university, via the afternoon bus. Although fear of Covid had a firm grip those simple, mundane, golden days were the one of best things to me. Then afternoon was so beautiful I couldn't even take nap despite being tired. I miss those bus rides, I can't believe how fast I finished university, one of the best part of my life. If anyone asked me what I think heaven is like I'd just describe those days.
