Voice acting isn’t easy, which is why it’s very impressive when an actor attempts the medium, and nails their part. Popular animated characters such as Mirabel from Encanto, Raya from Raya and The Last Dragon, and Bruno from Encanto have been voiced by big name actors. Some of these actors have more voice acting experience than others, but in all cases they shine in their roles and breathe life into their characters. Voice acting brings a whole new set of challenges to actors. We’ve seen Tom Holland's impressive acting range before in his live action roles, but his one weakness when voicing a character is his inability to do a convincing laugh. And some of these actors faced challenges when forced to record their lines from their homes. Working remotely is never easy.
We appreciate all the hard work these actors put into each and every one of their roles. Which actor plays your favorite animated characters? Leave a comment down below and let us know!

You forgot Josh Gad. He has a ton of voiceover work. Olaf from Frozen, Louis from Ice Age, Chuck from Angry Birds. Just to name a few
-
I am shocked they left out Eddie Murphy who voice acted both donkey from Shrek AND dragon from Mulan! Two very iconic characters!
-
I just love how they animated Sisu to look exactly like Awkwafina
-
Let’s be real, we were surprised when the same voice actor for Bruno did the voice for Sid the sloth.
-
Fun fact about Sandra Oh: She also voiced(speaking) Princess Ting Ting(the eldest daughter of the emperor) in Mulan II.
-
Wow some of these actually surprised me. It’s so weird how the voice seems completely different from the actor and then when you see them it makes sense 😅
-
To be honest, I’m surprised Tara Strong isn’t in here because she has done a heck ton of animated works…
-
Name someone who’s done more major voice characters that Tara Strong. You can’t. She is EVERYONE’S childhood.
-
although Lea Salonga didn't have a character herself, she sang two Disney princesses songs which is pretty impressive, singing high notes while in two different voices is not many can do.
-
"Who is that, satan?" "Oh oh oh!....it's me." I laughed so hard when she said that! 😂
-
Grey Griffin is a powerhouse of voice acting. She played Azula, Daphne Blake, Vicky, and countless others
-
Alan Tudyk taking non-speaking animal roles in disney films, but being part of Ice Age as a talking animal is funny to my brain.
-
Tom Holland has only voiced a handful of animated projects, mostly movies, but he does have one cute-as-can-be piggie commercial he voiced once upon a time. He’s done voice acting in both his own British accent and American, depending on the project. Despite the importance of authentic accents in Spies in Disguise, it was important for his character to have an American accent. He also used his American accent in ONWARD

A moment of silence for those who didn't know Bruno and Sid were voiced by the same person.
-
You forgot Ms. Maya Rudolph. She voiced some of the FF films: 😁 - Aunt Cass in Big hero 6 - Matilda from Angry birds movie - Daniella Paguro in Lucca - Linda Mitchell in Mitchell's vs the Machine
-
Don't forget Patton Oswalt as Remy (Ratatouille), Quibble Pants (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic) and Max (The Secret Life Of Pets 2)
-
I think Alex hirsch deserves a spot on that list playing bill cipher, Grunkle Stan, soos, king, hooty, and like so many more disney voices
-
It saddens me because once again “Cree Summer” has been over looked. She has voice so many animated characters. Her talent should not be overlooked.
-
Okay but literally the one of the best and most frequent voice actor for disney/disney pixar is most definitely John Ratzenberger.
-
This should really be, “actors you didn’t know voiced multiple characters”. To leave out people like Mae Whitman is just a crime.
