What most people are missing is that long time Lakers fans (like myself) are not happy with the direction that the team is heading and the level of power and influence LBJ has over the team. I’m a Kobe guy and I know that if he had a son who was draft eligible but was no where close to ready for the NBA he would not allow him to get drafted to any NBA team let alone the Lakers. He’d say get your butt in the gym and develop your skills. The Lakers really need to be careful about isolating their fan base because you saw what happened when the Dodgers did that when Frank McCourt was the owner. Lakers fans will loudly turn on the team if they continue down this path.
