So to everyone out there, if you were able to get through this entire video without vomiting or fainting from the crushing pain in your heart, then you're probably just experiencing a panic attack. :3

Glad to know I won't die at 17 years old, at 136 lbs

Self diagnosis is dangerous. Take an ECG test using a handheld ecg pen (the heartcheck pen) take a reading, plug the pen into your computer, and send your ecg to a doctor. In about 30 min, a doctor will send you an email with an analysis report telling you EXACTLY whats going on.

This video is pretty old, but I gotta say that this helped me sooo much! I've had a stinging pain in my chest in the area over the heart for 1 year now. It feels like there's needles in my chest. It comes and goes. Some days its more painful than the others. And of course, since I've struggled with anxiety disorders for over 4 years now, the first thing I thought was "Hey, you're having a heart attack. You're gonna die!" And the panic just made it worse. I can't believe that I have to struggle with this, and I'm only 17 years old. Thank you so much for this video, it calmed me down. I now know that a heart attack and chest pain caused by a panick attack are fairly different and won't kill me.

Diarrhea can also be a component of a panic attack as part of the "fight or flight" response and the release of adrenalin and cortisol into the bloodstream. Good vid! Thanks for the info!

For those that have pain/tightness in the heart during a panic attack I would suggest you grab the right side of your neck with your left hand (around the back of your head) and just stretch upwards. You will feel the tension in your heart slowly disappear and it will give you a sense of relief. Just continue doing this when you feel tightness and keep telling yourself it's not a heart attack, just muscles tightening.

Yesterday I had my first panic attack which I thought I am gonna have a heart attack. These were the symptoms : Slight stabbing pain in my upper left chest, Hands tingling, Cold body, Tremendous fear, fear of death, difficulty breathing, shallow breathing, light headspace, muscle twitching. It's day 1 after that panic attack, and still I am not feeling normal. Feeling extremely tired and exhausted.

diarrhoea is anxiety symptoms, also chest tightness is

The #1 reason normal panic remedies go wrong is because they do not teach a person to stop the fear of fear. Instead they teach you to ‘cope’ with the problem and handle the anxiety in the hope that it's going to eventually go away.

Please take this info with a grain of salt. I am 34 and have been treated for panic attacks. Recently I thought I was having another panic attack and took a Xanax. I just found out from an EKG/ECG that I had an actual heart attack. There is massive heart damage that resulted from my own ignorance. Please, if you have chest pain do not dismiss it. Just get to the hospital. I thought I was too young for a heart attack but it definitely happened. I will have to live with that mistake for the rest of my life. God bless.

Anxiety makes you feel a heavy weight on the chest too...I feel that shit almost everyday

This is a brilliant summary of a common (anxiety promoting!) confusion.
