For some reason I enjoy your videos with less transitions and editing- you are good on camera man! You often include a lot of good info as well so don't stress about it

Honestly, every single one of your videos needs a segment where you pet the kitty. Also, great video!

Love the cat, love the video. More cat. And more video if you have time.

Excellent tips for newer players even for older players that never thought of hauling more expensive/large stuff

I use a Neurus or a Sunesis for high sec hauling and it gets the job done very well. The Neurus has the powergrid and fitting slots necessary for a really strong shield tank which can tank through gank attempts, and you can comfortably haul packaged frigates, packaged destroyers, modules, compressed ores, or ammunition with decent skills and a cargohold boosting rig or two. If you have intertial stabilizers fitted and good enough skills, a Neurus can get under 5 second align time which is pretty solid for transporting things over long distances through high sec. The Sunesis is excellent for hauling high value low volume loot, such as dogtags, clone soldier tags, blueprints, and such without having to worry about getting ganked due to the high align time of under 2 seconds. I have yet to come across someone that attempted to gank me at a gate in high sec when flying one, and you can also reliably haul cargo in it through low sec while fitting a shield tank that can tank smartbomb camps you come across. You can also fit a Sunesis to give it a reasonable cargohold capacity if you have good propulsion and ship agility skills to still get under 2 second align time, for an extremely safe method of hauling decent amounts of loot to a trade hub to sell. A Neurus or a Sunesis are good candidates for hauling because they also don't require much in the way of skills to pilot well, and are generally the safest options for hauling. A Nereus is the only Tech 1 hauler that I generally feel comfortable hauling stuff with, because you can tank 3 or 4 ganking cruisers pretty reliably in it (tanking skills can allow you to tank more potentially, such as maxed out shield skills and maxed out Mechanics skill for more structure HP). You can use a Miasmos for gathering up mined ores from high sec mining belts, which is the only other tech 1 hauler I've really used for anything. It has a paper thin tank, but since you're not looking to stay in an asteroid belt for very long you can generally avoid being ganked with it since you just gather up the ores then warp back to a player owned station in the same system.

Lots of good ideas. I never thought I'd using the Sunesis this way. Thank you for the content. Been watching for a few months. Now I am a subscriber because of this one.

Lol, that cat watching mouse tv. Awesome vid, long live the cat!

good video, few notes. first... no tier 1 haulers? When I first started playing, the Wreathe was my bread and butter; I did hundreds of high-sec runs using the mwd-cloak trick and was never ganked. As the months passed, I was hauling up to a billion isk at a time. Eventually I trained into the Prowler but still found myself using my Wreathe fleet. They're practically the same ship; Wreathe just requires more diligence to run safely and the Prowler is a bit better in low-sec. You mention in the video that getting de-cloaked in a BR can be a death sentence- This is very true and I was ganked in a Prowler once after getting decloaked hauling through low-sec (loot fairy said no though lmao). Fortunately my loss was only ~2-3bn ISK. It is INSANE to me that you would haul 20bn isk in ANY ship... but maybe I'm just more risk-adverse. That would make a pretty funny killmail. Lately in Uedema, I've been seeing gankers park 3-4 drones by warp gates with the sole intent of breaking cloak; cloak is nice but it is no substitute for fast align/warp. Next... No Orca? Nice tanky hull with DCM and bulkheads, can sprinkle some shields on top of that, fast align/warp when using MWD... (MUCH faster than haulers) Relatively low skill requirements... Very versatile and great ship for high-sec hauling. Granted, things have changed a lot in the past few years and Orcas are almost double the price they were when I was playing EvE more heavily in 2018-2019, but they have their niche and you can generally haul <2bn ISK with very low risk. Nowadays I just contract my stuff out and let other haulers assume risk lmao.

I use my blockade runner as a shuttle. They are so handy.
  • @Schnizzori
Very nicely done and a great video! Only thing I would have liked to see is the last and in my opinion "best" hauling ship. It is the one you don't fly but the one who accepted your courier contract XD. People fly stuff so ridicilously cheap in this game that I don't even bother anymore to fly stuff myself. Most of the time it is a waste of time and money and "if" you get killed it is even worse. I lost in my eve life so far a JF, a freighter, 4 viators and I don't count epithals or other t1 haulers. But if I add that all up I can pay for another 15 eve years the reward fees for the courier contracts (I did the math based on my hauling needs) with zero risk. Unless public couriers form a union or go on general strike or something I am going to stick with this method because it let's me keep doing things that makes a lot of isk while others fly my stuff around fur stupidly low wages.

great vid. dont forget about stuff like giant secure containers and their smaller versions. if you could get that stratios to 3000m3 even you can use a GSC to expand to 3900 m3 which lets you haul a mining barge lol. its approx +30% rounded down to the interger value of how many secure containers u can fit not sure how to get those last few m3, maybe theres an implant or faction mod thats not too spendy? back in the old days everyone did this coz all the haulers sucked lol
  • @FlynnTaggart23
Just putting this out there: m3 = cubic metre (its a unit of volume measurement).
  • @fuzzypockets
Thank you for all the tips! Finding the right hauler and fitting it correctly is such an interesting problem to tackle. No pun intended. For me it’s mostly a Sunesis and T1 indies sometimes. Maybe some BR soon! If you mouse over a module, click the small arrow icon to remove it
  • I use a prorator myself for most of my hauling, with hyperspatial nullifier and warp stab, in addition in mid i use a ECM burst, that combination has gotten myself trough most if not all gatecamps and other hairy situations. If you want to do serious hauling, train for a blockade runner, its never a waste and there also relatively cheap
  • @BobSmith-dk8nw
Eh ... It depends on what you're doing. I've got some characters - who are miners - that mostly use a Miasmos for hauling ore. That is the hauler they use most of the time - because - most of the time they are hauling - they are hauling ore. But - sometimes they are not hauling ore - and the Miasmos has a pitiful cargo hold. So - they use a Wraith for that - because they got this Wraith for free doing Career Agent Missions - and it does the job. I've thought about getting a better hauler but ... I don't really use one that often. I've got a Ships Hangar full of ships I don't use - because I got them somehow - like doing Career Agent Missions - and have no need for them. Every now and again - I have to make two trips with the Wraith ... and every time that happens I start thinking about buying a better hauler but ... at the moment - it's easier to just make two trips with the Wraith than go to the trouble to buy and fit a better ship - all so I don't have to make two short trips in a Wraith ... If that happened a lot - I'd certainly get a better general purpose hauler - but it doesn't. Not with what I'm doing. .
  • @dannydg1985
I like the minmatar haulers because they are faster to align, prowler <3
  • @ZetaReticulian
I see your nifty little “pretty much impossible to catch” sunesis……😃 And I raise you 12 smartbombing Rokhs🧐
  • occator is the best hauler, i run 4 of them all the time throughout lowsec. just make sure theres no maulus navy issue or hics and you should be fine
