  • If 50% of Marikina people are college graduates, flooding would not be a problem because .1% would be experts in flood prevention.
  • The people who live in areas that are known to flood from typhoons and heavy rains, have grown accustomed to flooding conditions. They've learned to live in the flood zones.

Naranasan ko yan nong nasa pinas pa kami 90's ligo sa baha, tapos lakad sa baha hanggang bewang yung tubig baha. Lahat nang germs andyan na sa tubig kaya kung ano ano sakit sa balat magkakaron ka pero ganon pa man it is more fun in the philippines 😂

God blessed the Philippines 🇵🇭—— As if they haven’t suffered enough from poverty. God had to dump so much rain on them.. 😢

  • I don’t know enough about the Philippines or the country but I do watch a lot of videos here on YouTube about this beautiful country and the people. I tell my wife often that the people and there trials remind me so much of our people and our struggles when I was growing up in America back in the day. Being a brown skinned male and recounting how we had to deal with many obstacles including being lied to by the government. Yet we persevered and overcame a lot. We owe it all to strong family leaders and community leaders as well. To me, I don’t see that from the Philippine people and it’s easy to blame the government for not responding to crisis such as these but the people have to be smarter as well. Everybody have scooters, and cellphones from what you can see but dump trash all over the streets. When crisis like this happens it just make the situation much worse. Now you have filth and probably more disease to pass around to the weaker people than need to be. Believe me, the Philippine people are tough and resilient for sure and I would not like to be in this situation at all but if I was, would like to think before this rain happened and I got that warning to evacuate, I would be out of there. Nothing to save but my family and myself and the dog and cat, well if I was barely feeding my family what did I ever need with pets. God bless this resilient people of Manila.
