And when we look back to the vibrancy of Periclean Greece we can say, without doubt, that it is Plato who we hear. His dialogues are among the most precious possessions which have been passed down through the ages! Even now, 2000 years after his death, there are still thousands of student enveloped in the radiance of his thought. So let us add our names to this list and discover Plato.

    Maybe the greatest philosopher in history, no doubt the rest of history could be considered a plus to his philosophy. Indeed he who knows Plato, has already achieved the truth of existence. Not that others like Aristotle had not said the truth, but that Plato is the one who said it best.

    Very good short sypnosis of Plato. Plato turns out to be a combination of right and wrong ideas, but there are essential insights that are well worth learning, such as the tendency of a democracy to elect unfit leaders (boy, have we ever been getting a lesson in THAT lately!)
