Best line ever: "It doesn't make much sense, but bigotry never does". :) great video, I'm happy to have found it.

This was not what I expected at all. This was FANTASTIC. I really like the blending of the X-Men history and the historical context in which it was written. Very well done.Thank you.
  • @VZAAGE
I came just to get all nostalgic about my beloved X-Men but I love that you brought up actual history that inspired the stories. Now, I'm going to share this with my little girl so she can learn and perhaps be inspired. Thank you!
  • “In my opinion, right now, we’re in the middle of another era of sweeping social changes.” Well, that aged well.

Whenever someone talks about Cyclops' powers and makes it a point to say it's not a laser I am instantly friends with that person.

  • I just discovered this channel in 2022 and I'm blown away by the production quality and information. I fell in love with the X-Men (and comic books in general) in like the 3rd or 4th grade when X:tAS dropped, and have never looked back. Thanks for this.

Never realized the MLK/Malcolm X & Professor X/Magneto parallels until now.... poetic
  • I saw this video about 3 yrs ago & it's still the best introduction of the X-Men.
  • @nycrobo
I rewatch all these videos every few months. 😁👍
  • @dakdack
That was the best comic recap I have ever seen and I've been reading Xmen since 1983.

My uncle gave me ROM #17 and TPB Wolverine #1-4 limited series for Xmas...that was in 1987 and I was only 5! But he saw how I was always drawn to Wolverine when I would watch him organize his collection ...after that the X-men would always be a big part of my life! 💙💛❌💙💛
