  • My uncle Danny Copeland is out there number 26 thanks for video still a fan sense 11 years old.
  • Old RFK ...no better stadium in the NFL...the fans were so close to field it was unreal..loudest and the stands would rock and sway...They had the greatest fans in the 80s and 90s...with great teams lead by a great coack...Joe Gibbs....The DIESEL Riggins, Thiesman, Monk,Clark,Sanders,Manley,Mann,Green , Monty Coleman, what teams they had..The list was 10 years long to even get a ticket in the 80s,90s...Great place and memories....GO SKINS....

That 74 Yard pass play from Rypien to Clark in the first Qtr. was a thing of Beauty.

These days will never come back. It was a special time to be a Redskins fan.

The WASHINGTON REDSKINS uniforms were beautiful.
  • This was the best Redskin team that they ever had. The 1991 Redskins just rolled over anyone in the first few home games shutting out the Lions, Cardinals, and then Eagles here at home. It got so bad that Kotite got Pat Ryan out of retirement just so he could play that season. The Redskins played their best and that would really be the last of the Redskins being that good. Yes, the next season they went 9-7 and won a wildcard, but after that they would not make the playoffs until 1999.

The MacGyver episode that led into this game was "Obsessed", the final appearance of Murdoc.

The last time the Eagles shutout in September 30th 1984 by the Washington Redskins. That is so ironic.

Jacoby not being in the HOF is ridiculous. Monk was the all time leading reciever when he retired and didn't get inducted until years later. Both should have been 1st ballot hall of famers. Brian Mitchell has the 3rd most all purpose yards in league history and should be in and Gary Clark is overdue as well. The HOF has lost all credibility in my eyes. Political NFL BS!

The 1991 Redskins are the best football team I ever saw. They had no weaknesses and no egos. Just a perfect storm of young and old talent, harnessed by arguably the greatest coach of all time in Joe Gibbs. They could beat you any number of ways. Don’t get me wrong, the 89 Niners, 78 Steelers, 85 Bears and 73 dolphins belong in that conversation too. But I think if any of those teams play the 91 Redskins seven times the Redskins win 4.
  • They were REALLY good. Sound in every area. We played them tough both times (got a split) but we were orherwise a year away still from SB level.

It just amazing how fast it all fell apart the Super Bowl. Starting with the very first game of the next season. I my opinion one of the reasons this team isn't remember as one of the greatest of all time , is that it ended so quickly. And than the Cowboys won the next 2 Super Bowls in a row. Putting the 91 team out of people memories.

This is a masterful defensive performance by the Redskins.
  • I attended this game and the home game before it . Also a shutout vs the Cardinals.
  • I am sure I watched this game, but it was so many years ago I can't remember it, this was one of the best team of the Redskins had in their history for sure.

Pretty nuts that this game was the last time Washington has shut anyone out!
