  • This is probably the best Redskins season I ever witnessed. They looked the best in 2005 and 2006 and were really looking like they were going to be something. When Sean Taylor died things changed, he was the heartbeat of that defense.

    I always loved Clinton Portis even as a Giants fan. One of the best RBs of this era IMO.

    I still can’t believe the huge collapse the Eagles had the following season after they went to the Super Bowl the previous season.
  • I LOVE Clinton Portis, he is one of the most underrated backs in NFL history.
  • The crazy thing is that the Redskins have 2 playoff games since Joe Gibbs first retirement. It was Norv Turner 1999 and Joe Gibbs again in 2005 after clinching this game.

    Joe Gibbs as the Redskins head coach clinched the playoffs the first time since 1992 the season he retired.

    I hate Washington almost as much as I hate Dallas and far more than NYG, so it pains me to no end to admit this. But that Portis TD run to give them the lead in the 4th was an incredible play.
