Hi! We're Nick and Jen, a retired military veteran of 14 years and professional dancer/entertainer at Coyote Ugly Bar. Together, we decided to sell everything and break free of the glitz, glam and chaos of city life to move off gird. We live on our 20 acres of remote land in the mountains of Southern Utah.
We’re trying to be as self sufficient as possible by installing all our own utilities and doing everything DIY with as much modern technology as can make happen. You are going to regret nailing siding tight with nail gun! Siding is meant to float on nail on wall for expansion and contraction to prevent buckling. Also you need to add more nails for wind.

Lay some landscaper fabric around the perimeter of the house and spread that gravel on it, protect your new siding from the rain splashing that brown dirt up on it.

Looking good so far. Just make sure on your J-trim across the top of the doors to put the 45 on the outside of the side pieces. This will make it blend in with the 45 of the door trim.
