Dude! I never cared about my outfits.. your videos make me want to pay attention to what I am wearing😄 This is literally my first ever comment on a YouTube video and first subscription to a fashion/styling channel. You are really smart, articulate and your research is impeccable. Keep up the good work!!

12:01 - i gotta say, im absolutely a pear body type but what i've figured is that straight or wide legged jeans look very unflattering on me while skinny and slim fit look really good as they accentuate my waist and curves. i think the reason might be that even tho im pear type, i've a petite body in general, so my lower measurements are significantly more than the upper body but still in general, the measurements are not too much. when i wear wide or straight jeans, they make me look a lot more like rectangle body type as they de-emphasize my curves while also making me look much shorter but with skinny jeans, they really accentuate the slight curves while also making me look slightly taller. so in conclusion, i think other factors such as your weight and height also influence what look's best on you along with the body types.

Glad to hear the things I've intuited over the years about what looks good on my body shape are echoed in this video. I'm rectangle/inverted triangle and I'm so glad high-rise came back because I think this rise is most flattering on me. I went my whole adolescence wearing mid and low-rise so when high-rise came back and I tried it on, it was like a revelation. Low-rise has also been trending again lately, but I feel like any and everything is in right now so I hope there continues to be a good variety of rises in stores like there currently is where I live.

This was so clear and easy to understand. You're so kind and encouraging while you explain everything too. :) Thank you for all of this information!
  • @LMMariszcka
i just love how you explain things. it was so easy to understand why certain things work and others don’t. i think it really helps that you immediately show examples when you make a point. also your voice is really soothing to listen to. great video, you helped me out!

I think I'm somewhere between a hourglass and a pear, I used to wear a lot of skinny jeans and they always made me look weird but of late I've switched to bootcut and flared denims and they really do make me look much better and more put together! Great video!

I think I'm a rectangle leaning towards pear, and on the petite side. It's definitely a game of balancing proportions, and I find that high waist (especially ultra super high waists) works wonders. And yes, wide leg and bootcut jeans look good, but sometimes I feel that jeans defined the lower stomach pooch even more on me. I like wide leg slacks or pants/trousers that flows down in a lightweight fabric to conceal it. The thing with fashion is that there's always that one thing that becomes super popular and I really hated that. I hope all these different cuts stay and people are free to make choices that suit/flatter their body types.
  • Plz make a video for long dresses or midi dresses, maxi dresses.. according to body type
  • This is a total steal. Knowing your body shape and dressing for it will take you from a 3 to a definite 10/10 minus nothing! Love it❤️

Thankyou so much your elder sister for everyone who is struggling to find sense in fashion you don’t know how many blessings you will be receiving by helping girls who don’t anything about fashion
  • @sandj4925
This girl mastered applying the rule of proportion and balance in dressing!

Just to remind people, she said hourglass almost same width of shoulders and hips because it's the important parts to know your silhouette. Just because you have big bust doesn't mean you're an hourglass. Take a look at your shadow. It doesn't include your bust. It's your shoulders, waist and hips. Body shape is basically bone structure.
  • Your explanations are always very simple and loving. Also, I recently started rebuilding my wardrobe to make it more minimal and focusing on my body type which is rectangular, so thanks for such videos and I love your style <3
