DC's Titans serves as an adaptation of the Teen Titans roster of characters from DC Comics, including Dick Grayson as Robin, then Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Tim Drake, and many others. The series features the first-ever live-action adaptation of Jason Todd as Red Hood, providing a further exploration into the mythos of the Batman Family. The Death in the Family storyline served as inspiration, depicting the Joker killing Jason as Robin. Season 3 does a questionable job of adapting the Red Hood persona. Other Red Hood adaptations include Gotham Knights, Batman: Arkham Knight, and the animated movie Under the Red Hood.

Words cannot describe the hate I had for Titans season 3, all because of that Red Hood garbáge

I really hated how they made Jason an fear toxin addict, Jason despises drugs his Mother overdosed in his home, he had too find her dead in a bathtub, it infatuated me how they completely misconeptualized his character arc .

Making the Titans edgy was such a dumb idea. They should have just made this a street level show about Nightwing. They didn't have the budget for Beast boy. Complete waste of time.

What they did with Starfire was disgusting. She would never said that stuff. She'd be heartbroken and be trying to comfort Dick. Not chastise the Dead. No disrespect to Anna Diop, but this is ain't remotely Starfire. It's a whole new character with her name.

Did they just forget that Bruce was devastated after Jason’s death, and he became cold and isolated, and that’s the entire reason Tim became robin, to give light to Batman’s world again?

The whole show was bad. Dick was nothing like comic Dick. He acted like another watered down Batman. Just like Oliver in Arrow CW. Why is it so hard to let these characters be themselves instead of Batman? Also WTH happened to Rose and her brother after s2?

It pissed me off when they all ganged up on him about shit that he would literally never have known about any of them except for maybe Raven

The day we get a proper Teen Titans DCU movie is the day I will be dancing in the streets Saltburn-style

6:20 Exactly!!! Like Batman, never actively looked for new Robins. He adopted Dick because he saw himself when his parents got murdered when he was a kid. And Jason, Bruce saw his potential and was like, "either I make sure this kid doesn't go on the wrong path, or I have one more criminal to fight in the future" (ofc it didn't go as planned, but that's how he took Jason in) Tim and the rest basically invited themselves to be Robin. Batman would never force someone to become what he hates and fears the most: Himself.

One of my biggest problems I had with that show was that it felt like the writers and producers of the show were so focused on the fact that they could go all R-rated with this show that it felt like writing the characters were the least important part of the show. Plus season 3 really made me realize that the writers behind the show probably didn’t even wanted to make a titans show but instead a Batman project, especially since the third season was set up to be based on the Blackfire saga, but instead chose to do a Batman storyline.

This show had so much potential but they dropped the ball badly in my opinion.
  • One thing I can stand behind is that Titans had a great JASON TODD(Robin), they just sold Red Hood. Like he was brash, but he was never Annoying, so I wanted to keep watching him develop

I had no idea this show went past 1 season. I remember the first season came out, everyone said it sucked, and no one ever talked about it again.
  • Great actors, great costumes, horrible writers. Dc has too many horrible writers in the room. Get comic writers to help adapt shit for crying out loud. But Curran is a great actor and I’m a fan now. I also liked his appearance in S4 with Tim

I don’t know what’s worst: The writers having The Titans bully a kid to the point he wanted to off himself and never apologizing or the writers actively having Bruce SEEK OUT to replace Jason. Bruce would’ve NEVER did that. He didn’t seek out to make Tim Robin. Bruce has either been so messed up over Jason’s death that he becomes more violent or he straight up fucking retires being Batman.
  • @jim-bob3093
Still bitter they made Jason bratty at all, he was a huge sweetheart as a Robin. Thats also, not quite Jasons motive for utrh, its what Bruce thinks is his motive. Jason outright ways hes not their for revenge on Bruce, cause he already forgiven him

The most frustrating thing is that there’s no reason we can’t have a bat family show be good. Even a low budget one. The most glaring issue is the people calling the shots on this and the arrowverse obviously don’t really care for the stories they’re telling
  • I once had a Chinese leather jacket that was quite faux. I sold it on Facebook marketplace for $80. It was either this show, or a large fan project, where I saw a scene of Red Hood wearing my old jacket. Feels badass lol. My jacket in Gotham City.
