"When I look at myself I feel like I lived my life in misery." What a universal statement for some people.
  • Notice how he called out to the reporter/camera person “don’t worry, if you fall we’ll catch you.” It would be so easy for someone who lives such a brutal life to not care about anyone aside from those closest to them, but when taking someone new into these dangerous conditions he was doing his best to keep them as safe as possible.
  • I hope for a better life for the Afghan people. They deserve so much more. 🇦🇫

This guy is an absolute gigachad. Mining so he can feed his family, and whatever money is left over, he uses to build a home closer to the mine so he and his men can work more efficiently. Incredible. May God protect this man,

Given his dire circumstances, Habib's eloquence and grace are astonishing.

Way to go, cameraman, you really put yourself out there!

Every gem miner risks his life to find these treasures. Respect
  • Such a beautiful documentary Irony is they risk their lives for these treasures and return they getvery less from selling these gemstones. I belong to peshawar and the the main market of these stones is situated here. A friend of mine once said that he bought an emerald from an afghan worker just for $100 and the same stone was sold in thiland for $5000. I hope they get paid fairly as well.

this documentary was beautifully done, a definite step up in quality from past episodes. it made me happy seeing Habib talking about his house he's building. would love to see more videos on different trades in Afghanistan!

and I was complaining a few days ago about a refund i didn't receive yet. Seeing people from other countries put me in a place to be grateful like we don't know what we have until we see others. May God make it easy for everyone as long as their intensions are good.
  • I really appreciate these types of videos that spotlight people like Habibullah here and other similar situations and craftspeople doing whatever they can to take care of their families in less than ideal situations.

These are very hard working men, absolute respect for them. May God bless you with abundance.

Afghanistan is so rich in minerals, people are so nice and friendly, I hope they live a better future. Love from India ❤🇮🇳

I was amazed at what was being sold in the little town of Chitral, north of Peshawar, by street vendors. Not just tourmeline and lapis but aquamarine, kunzite, labradorite and huge quartz points, clear and smoky and sold by the kilo.
  • That jewelry was gorgeous…. What a shame he can’t get buyers
  • @wisanu99
Watching this and all of a sudden my life is perfect.
  • Can’t imagine what these people must be going through. We’re fortunate to not be born in countries like these. Hope things will turn out to be better for Afghanistan
