In the chaos of a country on the brink of collapse, those tasked with defending and helping others soon found themselves in dire need of rescue. Khial Shinwari witnessed the horror of the American withdrawal from an Afghan military base. He never expected his country would fall into the Taliban's hands again. Amidst the evacuation, the 35-year-old Afghan air force pilot's mission was to fly other people to safety, 130 in all. But as the Taliban closed in, he found himself planning his own and his family's escape to the United States, leaving his life and career behind. Now, he grapples with a vastly different life but refuses to give up on his dreams of taking flight again.

  • My best friend since childhood is from Syria both parents were doctors that owned their own practices. Moving to the United States their medical degrees were no longer recognized. So they had to go back to medical school in the US. Now both very successful and own their own practices here in the US now. My point is no matter how long it takes do what makes you happy!

it absolutely lie that Taliban killing previous army Pilots. Now all pilots that working with taliban are from previous army why the didn't kill them. and also some came back from the west to serve back to the country
  • @loveman2219
Non of the pilot have been killed so far and all of them doing their routine job in Kabul airport, and they live in Kabul with respect while in USA all the professional Afghan staff are driving Uber 😢 for real 😳or some store keepers .i am not representing Taliban but this is ground reality. Trump and Biden administration handover the entire country to Taliban we never expect that so far step .for the last 20 years we sacrificed so much brought back the dead Afghanistan on foot once again and Trump administration just handover to Taliban like a plate full French fries . Shame shame
