momondo – The DNA Journey feat. Carlos

Published 2016-06-27
To celebrate diversity in the world we asked 67 people from all over the world to take a DNA test. It turns out that they have much more in common with other nationalities than they would ever have imagined. In this short film, you can join Carlos on his amazing journey into who he really is.

Let’s Open Our World is an invitation to travel across boundaries, embrace our differences and open our world.

momondo believes that everybody should be able to travel the world, to meet other people, and experience other cultures and religions. Travel opens our minds: when we experience something different, we begin to see things differently.

The entire world had a baby...how beautiful he is. <3

It’s amazing how he actually LOOKS exactly like his DNA results. All of it showed up in his hair, eyes, skin, tone, bone structure. None of it was shocking.
  • Chills when he said, " I am a real man of the world." How exciting and beautiful. Very sweet.

He's 45% European, 35% African, 17% Native American, 2% Middle East, 1% Australian. Pretty cool.
  • @barstarks

For those asking why they're crying, it's probably partially because they've been so prejudiced against certain groups of people and now they are faced with the fact that they are part of the group. Kinda screws up your mental a little bit.

Im Dominican and I love Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Jamaicans, and my Haitians brothers. I think this guy is crazy and doesn't know anything about the culture, we never hate each other, we kept our way of life and maintain a close relation no matter what the governments say
  • it's weird how he has more European DNA than African but he is dark. this is showing me that we can't go by looks.

Really hope they release all of the 67. These were AMAZING! If we keep sharing the fact that we are all so connected we can effectively fight hate in our world. We can realize we are one big interconnected family and finally work together to build a beautiful human race.
