getting rid of old Bibles - Story Time

2020-07-17に共有
Show and tell time! with two kinda unrelated things: A story of me trying to get rid of old Bibles that segues into talking about Psalm 119, and a little bit of me showing some of my art

I work full-time for a prayer room, and this channel is a hobby on the side.

  • Hahaha 😆 I understand totally. I find it hard too. Hope you have a blessed and lovely day. 💕💕
  • LOL at paint my nails! I have my tiny pink Bible I took to Children’s Church. Can’t throw it out! I lost my teen Bible, though. I thought my family was the only one who said it’s sacrilegious to throw these away 🤔Great video watch!
  • Haha, I love this so much! I have a whole bunch of Bibles that I collect. Thankfully with my job I can easily give away the ones I don't use as much anymore to local youth or to friends who ask for one! :)
  • Well my church once glued the pages of an old bible in one the walls and we have a wall full of pages from the Bible. It was pretty cool! Might be worth a try haha 😂🧙🏻‍♂️
  • @LivingFor
Loved that joke "I paint my nails" ahahah! My bibles and probably I have too many of them, for when I had different ages and now different languages, are all in the same bookshelf. I love to go back and see what was special to me in different times!
  • @stacika
I died at ‘paint my nails’😂 I’d keep them🙈 sort of like a testament to my journey in the faith😄
  • That's relatable, I've always had such a horrible feeling when I so much as bent a page. Thankfully God is merciful 🙏
  • I love your personality. It’s fun listening to you ❤️🥰
  • Your personality is everything and i love your editing😍😍 New subbie
  • I keep my old bibles where it’s accessible to guests, family, or friends who sleep over and have to go to church or are joining us for evening family bible time if they didn’t bring one. But I have one special old bible I still keep and go to it from time to time because I have so many important verses highlighted, marked and a few notes that remind me of special things God taught me at the time I read them.
  • I love this Melissa!! You are a natural storyteller! I was LOLing at the paint nails part!
  • Your nails look pretty 😂😂😂 I was at my folks the other day and saw a study Bible we had been given for free back on highschool. I know that all our bibles (mine and my siblings’) are somewhere kept safely. And because of my parent’s strictness they are in good condition. Good enough to be passed to someone else
  • @ravey2930
Remeber me when ur famous! god bless u!
  • There is a ministry you give can old Bible's to, and they re purpose them into tracts, using chapters from the Gospels etc. To just give out to people, its calle " Love Packages".
  • This was so entertaining! My suggestion is that if they are in decent enough condition to donate them, and someone may benefit from your highlights and underlines. But James being missing, um lol, someone will have a gap in their theology. LOL. JK. Not sure what do there.
  • I may have donated my old Bibles. I do have one my grandfather gave me that I love because it’s from him and it was his way of taking care of me. I also have my dad’s which I think is KJV. He has notes written in it so no way I am getting rid of that one! Other Bibles are different translations.
