Great to see the 10 minute applause left in. What a stunning performance.

You can say what you want about the interpretation, or, for example, the tempi, but the quality of orchestral playing here is simply magnificent!
  • Urbanski is one of my favorite conductores these days. The perfect combination of passion, rigour and charisma. And when I met him after an unforgettable Shostakovich 5 he was really kind! Stunning Tchaikovsky with one of Europe’s most wonderful orchestras!!!
  • une superbe version .Le chef laisse parfois à l'orchestre une liberté ,une autonomie ,tout en étant parfaitement aux commandes ! du grand art !
  • The camera people are brilliant in following this music and all the instruments. I have seldom seen a consert better filmed than this. Bravo!

Truly electrifying! This Orchestra is becoming one of my favorite performing groups. All is so clear and precise. Bravo!
  • Great that we can follow the ovations after this fantastic consert, celebrating all musicians!
  • @RoadsterKaren
Fantastic performance! I was ecstatic watching and listening. Bravo! 🌹🌹🌹
  • @petros7929
Sharp!!!! hr-Sinfoniekonzert one the best orchestras around. Awesome interpretation from FL, USA!!
  • @FabianOber
Great style of conducting in the end, beautiful!
  • How many times have I already listened to this rendition? I dont know. Sometimes I think it is a symphonie for the bassoon, then for the oboe, then for the flute or for the clarinet. The only thing I know is that Tschaikowsky had a wonderful gift to lift up all the instruments in an orchestra in full sight. Something that the cameras in this uptaking fully understand. The result is splendid. Together with this wonderful orchestra and Krzysztof Urbanski this turns out to be the best interpretation of this 4:th Symphony I ever heard. Thank you all so much!
  • I appreciate the versatility of classical music. Whether you're studying, relaxing, or seeking inspiration, there's always a perfect piece to match the moment. 📚💭🎵
  • @Dylonely42
One of the greatest symphonies ever composed.
  • @shupingwang3392
Krzysztof Urbański does very well here ! Not to speak of the orchestra, which is amazing. The conductor shows real affinity to this music with flexible tempi. This reminds me of a reading by Marek Janowski in Berlin 20 years ago. Janowski loved a brisk pace, maybe more forceful than Urbański.
  • @hrh4961
All this magnificent music making. And now in 4K!
  • During, but mostly after his catastrophic and short marriage to Antonia Milyukova Tschaikowsky wrote this music. It tells us about destiny, dreams, longings, but also about sorrow and a hopeless situation. We dont need to know his biography to love this music, but maybe it helps us a little bit. Wonderful playing from hr-Sinfonieorchester under Krzysztof Urbanski!
  • Excellent performance of one of my very favorite symphonies. I really appreciated the clear dynamic contrast within each movement, something that is not always so clear to me in other performances. A good performance of this symphony should be nothing less than thrilling, and this performance delivers. Bravo!
