Swedish Christmas tree flypast 🇸🇪

Published 2023-12-19
A Christmas tree formation flight over parts of Sweden is an annual tradition performed by the Swedish Air Force in the run up to the big day. This one was a little more special as it was the last time it will be done by the indigenous Saab 105 (SK60) trainer aircraft before their retirement from service.

12 SK60's flown by students from the Luftstridsskolan (flight training school) can be seen here flying over the Royal Palace in Stockholm on the way back to Linkoping. I also thought to include a bunch of generic cinematic footage of the Christmas decoration around the city as it looked pretty cool. Merry Christmas to all of my viewers.

What an attractive place over the Christmas period, and a nice tradition too.

Still think about them as Sexa Skåne (Six Scanias) from when they mostley where based at the F5 school wing on Ljungbyhed and had a display team. We in Gothenburg got both 4x Hercules and 12x JAS 39 Gripen this year. But we don't have light-Elks.... We got one Giraffe 😂
