My favorite bit is the prehistoric section. I hope they keep that forever!

I appreciate that you'd swivel around and show the view from the back. That's one I've never seen before. I've seen things here that I'd never seen over my dozens of previous journeys before.

Thanks for sharing, love the Railroad. It's a great break from the park
  • Beautiful sunset during the tour ride at the Disneyland Railroad. The Disneyland Railroad is my favorite ride at Disneyland since I am a Train Fan. All five of their steam locomotives operate wonderful at this railroad, Disneyland Railroad #1 “C.K. Holliday” (Built by Walt Disney Studios in 1954), Disneyland Railroad #2 “E.P. Ripley” (Built by Walt Disney Studios in 1954), Disneyland Railroad #3 “Fred Gurley” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1894), Disneyland Railroad #4 “Ernest S. Marsh” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1925), and Disneyland Railroad #5 “Ward Kimball” (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1902). The first four steam locomotives are named after former presidents of the Santa Fe Railroad (A.K.A The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad), while the fifth one is named after a famous Disney animator.
  • You know, in the late 1950s, this was a real train and not just a tram. The cars were enclosed old west style; and on every trip around the park, real stunt men dressed as cowboys would have gun fights in the car using real cowboy pistols using blanks. It just blew me away. And there was no pre-recorded nonsense.

It's wonderful that they've been able to use the same orator for the new spiel.
  • @turcj
When they built the Universe of Energy at EPCOT, did they clone the dinosaurs from this train ride? They look exactly the same.

It says posted 4 weeks ago but it had to have been eariier like before April. The latch has not been installed yet at the New Orleans exit gate. What day was this?
